We're just back from a crazy hectic week out at E3, where press got their very first look at Tales from the Borderlands in motion! Following are some new screenshots from the game, pics of our demo theater, and thoughts from the press about what they saw inside...
"Telltale's record is pretty darn good. Once it made the jump from traditional point-and-click to narrative-driven gameplay, the developer found a format that works for just about any game. And then it announced Tales from the Borderlands, and it felt like it might've gone one step too far. Borderlands was about guns! And loot! Things that don't work in that style of gameplay! Right? Wrong. So beautifully, wonderfully wrong." - GamesRadar
"It’s savvy, smart adaptation at work... The art direction and humour belong to the world of Borderlands, but the narrative complexity and ingenuity are unmistakably Telltale." - IGN
"They're doing some REALLY creative, cool stuff that got me really excited... They have an excellent lead character, and I think they have an excellent premise... I was hooked." - GameTrailers
"...an absolutely perfect approach to the Borderlands world." - PC Gamer
"Tales from the Borderlands is a match made in heaven... Masterfully, Telltale hit the bulls-eye in their partnership with Gearbox." - CinemaBlend
"Game of show. Calling it right now. Stop everything." - Cheat Code Central
"We walked out of the room with a keen sense of anticipation for Tales from the Borderlands' release along with a genuine smile on our face from the humour that runs beneath the narrative... You're not a vault hunter, this isn't a first-person shooter, but it's 100 per cent Borderlands." - PocketGamer
"Telltale Games continues to prove itself as an agile team of storytellers, capable of molding and shaping a variety of tonally and thematically different fictional sources into impactful experiences that all share a common DNA. Tales from the Borderlands shows every sign of being yet another faithful realization of that notion, a story by Borderlands fans, for Borderlands fans that takes something familiar and frames it in a very different way." - Digital Trends
And finally... we were lucky enough to have some very special visitors come by our booth during the week, including the voice of Lee Everett, Dave Fennoy himself. He was psyched to play The Walking Dead pinball (and we were psyched to have him there)!

Joystiq – 5 out of 5 – “It gives us absurd characters like talking pigs and childhood boogeymen and makes them as real as we are, so that we ourselves feel like citizens of Fabletown, scraping to get by. Our eyes are open, the glitter of our storybooks long since vanished. Time to open the door.”

Rock, Paper, Shotgun – “…the best episode yet”
Cheat Code Central 4.7 out of 5 – “This is bigger than you ever imagined”

We've released the first ever screenshots from our upcoming episodic game series, Tales from the Borderlands! Set on Pandora AFTER the events of Borderlands 2 from Gearbox Software and 2K Games, the Telltale series will premiere for download later this summer.
Featuring two playable characters, the story is told from two unique perspectives that will alternate as the story progresses. These characters include Rhys, a scheming, low-level data miner within Hyperion who's plotting his own grand ambitions; and Fiona, a clever and classic fast-talking con artist born and raised on Pandora, out to pull off the grift of a lifetime.
While they themselves aren't vault hunters, both Rhys and Fiona will also come across vault hunters such as Zer0 and other characters from the world of Borderlands 2 throughout the series, as all events in Tales from the Borderlands will be part of the official Borderlands story canon.
Check out this Official PlayStation blog post from Adam Sarasohn (Producer on Tales from the Borderlands) for a few more details on the series!
If you're yet to peek into the seedy world of Fabletown, now is a great time to check it out! You can pick up The Wolf Among Us Episode 1 - Faith for FREE on iPhone or iPad right now, thanks to it being IGN's Free Game of the Month.

Check out this trailer for a little taste of what's to come! A word of warning though: this video contains huge spoilers for Episodes 1 and 2. If you've yet to catch up with the season so far, definitely do that before watching the trailer for Episode 3 (we think you'll be glad you did).
We've been hearing a lot from fans curious about the end credits song in The Walking Dead: Season Two Episode 2 - A House Divided. That song is actually our long-time composer Jared Emerson-Johnson's take on a traditional American folk song called 'In the Pines', which dates back to the 1870s and is believed to be of Southern Appalachian origin. The haunting vocals in this version are supplied by the multi-talented Janel Drewis, who also works as an animator on the development team at Telltale.
The song is featured in our latest trailer for the season so far.
Good news for those who've been looking for a downloadable version of this take on 'In the Pines' - you can get it for FREE right now at telltalegames.bandcamp.com.
If you're keen for even more music from The Walking Dead: Season Two, look out for more singles from Anadel, whose tracks 'Carver' and 'In the Water' are also available separately on their page at anadel.bandcamp.com.
We're pleased to say that fans can look forward to the full soundtrack releasing later this year after the season concludes!
Telltale Games, Gearbox and 2K have unveiled the very first details on Tales from the Borderlands at SXSW!
We can finally reveal that you will play as TWO protagonists: Rhys, a Hyperion company man with a robotic arm and a knack for hacking; and Fiona, a fast-talking con artist.
The story will be told from both of their perspectives, and here's the twist: both of these characters are lying jerks, so you're never playing what REALLY happened. It's more like playing each of their interpretations of events, and the truth lies somewhere in between...
Check out this full video of the 'Two Sides to Every Story' panel for more info on Rhys and Fiona, how this story fits into the Borderlands universe, and more detail about the physiology of skags than you ever wanted to know.
Also from this past weekend: on the latest Playing Dead episode from IGN, host Greg Miller interviews legendary "bad guy" actor Michael Madsen (known for his roles in Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill), who plays Carver in The Walking Dead: Season Two. Check out the video for more!
We're doubling up the Telltale goodness in Austin this weekend! Not only are we doing a special Tales from the Borderlands panel at 5:30pm on Saturday, Telltale will also be speaking at 12:30pm that day about the future of entertainment.
