Abe Lincoln Must Die!
Posted by emily February 15, 2007
Episode 4 is just around the corner, and the freelance police are taking on their most powerful adversary yet -- the President of the United States. Buckle your seatbelts, because the DeSoto's headed for Washington D.C. for a political showdown, Sam & Max style.

Episode 4 launches on February 22 (next week!) on GameTap, and March 8 here on our site. You can check out some screenshots on the Sam & Max page.

For those who want to watch the trailer over and over, you'll find a WMV version right here.

LOVE the The Battle Hymn of the Republic theme at the end! Looking forward to the soundtrack on this one. Oh, and the game too.

Awesome! I live in DC!

This looks like it's going to be fun in a sick and twisted way that only Sam & Max can get away with. I look forward to the dancing Secret Service Agents and trying to figure out how to "cure" the President of his hypnosis problem.

Wow...this might be the best one yet! ^_^

This is for you, LraiseR:

People on earth! Your day of reckoning is at hand! I foresee an America under one rule: an iron-fisted rule. One rabbit, one law! I believe that by working together, we can make that dream a reality. Let your neighbors know that dissent will not be tolerated. All hail Max.

Stay frosty, America.

That trailer was excellent, and makes the next episode seem almost epic! Did the intern Nick do that? If so, great job. If not, um, great job.
Comment by Derwin February 16, 2007, 5:53 am
It was a Nick The Intern production, with sound/music processing and editing by Jared from Bay Area Sound.
Comment by Jake February 16, 2007, 8:19 am
Well Nick the intern deserves something pretty nice for this, then.

Yeah, like a higher spot on the credit crawl!

Now now, let's not get ahead of ourselves. ;)

Maybe we'll buy him a donut.

Nick, I would tip my hat to you if I had one. Hmm... what to tip? My grandfather is a rancher, I am sure I could find something to tip at his place.
And Jared, this is one of the first trailers where I actually focused on the music for some reason. I don't know what type of subliminal messages you put into the track, but I liked them! Excellent, excellent work.
Comment by Derwin February 17, 2007, 3:11 am
Sounds to me like a reference to the Imperial March from Star Wars.
Comment by Haggis February 17, 2007, 3:52 am
Assuming you're referring to the end music, it's the Battle Hymn of the Republic, which is an American civil war anthem.
Comment by tabacco February 17, 2007, 10:47 am
Yeah, I realised that, but the way in which it was implemented kind of reminded me of a Star Wars trailer... maybe it's just me though. :)
Comment by Haggis February 17, 2007, 11:32 am
That's because it's played off key.

Bonus points for switching to a muppet avatar, by the way :)

Haggis, you earned a big THANK YOU for your transcript. Once I could understand, I laughed, oboy if I laughed :D
To the telltale staff: any chance of seeing the transcripts along with the future shorts? *nudge* *nudge*

"Bonus points for switching to a muppet avatar, by the way :)"

Heh, thanks. Marvin Suggs is one of my favourite Muppets. :)
And no problem, LraiseR (intriguing nickname, by the way), I'm glad to help!

Woo! Muppet city :)

This trailer was, easily, one of the most enthralling ones I've seen for Season One, keep it up :)
Comment by Giglio February 21, 2007, 11:42 am
I'm always looking forward to more Sam & Max.
