The countdown is on... nine calendar days until Christmas the Sam & Max season premiere, Ice Station Santa!
If you're one of those impatient types like I am, you're probably not that into waiting until the actual day to open all your presents. We've hidden them for you good, so no peeking in the closets and under the bed to find them, but since you've been such good boys and girls we decided to sneak a few gifts to you early. Don't tell your mother.
First we have this lovely gameplay video. In it, Sam & Max arrive at Santa's workshop to find that instead of filled with peace and good cheer, the inhabitants are cowering in fear. (Like that rhyme I just made? Poetry. Cool.)
What's that? This incredible video isn't enough for you? Well, okay, since you've been extra good this year, I guess we can give you one more little treat... soundtrack MP3s!
These are all the gifts you get for now, but make sure to stay on your best behavior, because come next Friday*, that big present you've been waiting for will be right here, all wrapped up with a shiny bow...
*That's November 9th, if you're too lazy to check the calendar.
I'm only halfway through Bosco's new theme, and I can promise you that when you make the next soundtrack CD set, you have my money now! I'm so digging this!

Typo in the url you used in "right here". You typed "http://www.telltalgames.com/samandmaxseasontwo", should be "http://www.telltalegames.com/samandmaxseasontwo". Sorry, I wouldn't normally do this with grammar, but a url is a bit different. ;)

I got there just after posting that comment, and now the Boxing Theme is on power repeat! It's like a better version of the Punch Out! theme with killer 80s guitar riffs!

Heh... yeah, I was super excited when the song went from being all synth to having extreme guitar :)

Whoops, Jared sent over real track names for those MP3s but that must have gotten lost in the shuffle! (Two of them are acronyms, randomly enough!) ...
Bosco's Darkroom theme is "T.H.E.M."
The Boxing Theme is called "TKO"
And the North Pole track is called "Arctic Hush."
Adjust your ID3 tags accordingly :)

So...freaking...amazing...
All three themes were awesome, but I gotta show particular love for "TKO". It's like the unholy offspring of the music from NES era Megaman, Genesis era Sonic, and Punch-Out...I LOVE IT!

I like the North Pole music a lot, the boxing theme isn't my thing.

Thanks Jake, I thought I might have the wrong track names but it was already 8:30 so I figured I'd post now and ask questions later. :)
Anyway, fixing them now...

Also, apparently the graphic for the gameplay video wasn't displaying before, but now it is. Note to self: don't try to update the blog in the middle of a 5.6 magnitude earthquake.

Anyone getting a Futurama vibe from their Santa?

Ahh Futurama, i miss this one. My beloved phrase still is from Professor Farnsworth: "Good news everyone!" and how Dr. Zoidberg is speaking.

These are incredible, especially the Boxing Theme. Gives a much more epic feel to the game with this kind of music.
I love it!

I really LOVE the Boxing Theme too. It almost sounds like the battle BGM in the pokemon games but with more edge.
