Get your Christmas shopping done early...
Posted by emily November 14, 2007

If anything you're like me, you haven't started thinking about Christmas shopping yet. (Actually, if you're anything like me, you didn't even realize until about five minutes ago that next week is Thanksgiving...) Lucky for you, Telltale has a well-stocked store brimming with gift-worthy merchandise suitable for friends and family of all ages. Not as lucky for you, the mail can be unreliable, especially around the holidays. When ordering merchandise as Christmas gifts, please use this handy info (provided to us by our fulfillment house) as a guide:

UPS Ground
  • Orders taken by Wednesday December 12th will be delivered before Christmas
  • Most orders taken by the 16th will probably be delivered.
UPS Air Shipments
  • Overnight: Orders taken by December 20th will be delivered before Christmas
  • 2nd Day Air: Orders taken by December 19th will also be delivered before Christmas
Economy Postal
  • Shipments have no guaranteed delivery time. However, most domestic orders taken during the first week of December (December 7th) should be delivered.
Notice they didn't say anything about international orders sent via postal mail. Considering how long shipping times have been for some of our international customers, if you're planning to buy someone merchandise from our store and want it in time for Christmas, you should do it in the next couple of days at the very latest. (And even then, no promises you'll get it in time.)

If you were hoping to buy the Sam & Max fan in your life a gift, but it's looking like it won't get there in time... no problem! We are working on gifting options for new Sam & Max games and hope to have something in place pretty soon. So if you're dying to give your friends and family the gift of Season Two, sit tight and watch the blog for news about how that's going to work.

In sort of related news, I wanted to share this email that came in last week:

Every day after school, my son says to me, "Mom, is Surfin' the Highway out yet?" I say, "If you ask me that one more time I'm gonna pull my hair out!"

So? Save my hair.

Please.

-Trasie, Mother of Anxious Boy

The answer for Trasie (and everyone else who's wondering) is that Surfin' the Highway is still Coming Soon. We're very close, but it's not going to be done in time for Christmas. Sorry. (We're disappointed, too.) The good news is, the day it comes out will be like Christmas all over again!

(C'mon, humor me...)

But 2007 is the 20th aniv. :(

Well, so is January a pretty good time to pin point it then? And... if there is going to be a hardcover will it be out at the same time? I don't want to get the paperback and then a month later find out that a hardback is being released.

You guys should consider releasing SOMETHING new before christmas...... a print, a shirt, both?

It might still end up being printed in December, it just wouldn't be in time for Christmas shopping. We'll know more in a couple of weeks.

Details about the hardcover (if we end up doing one) will be released at the same time as details about the paperback. It's not our intention to make anyone order twice.
