Sam & Max Season One nominated for adventure game of the year...

Of course, it's an honor just to be nominated. But it'll be an even bigger honor if we win. *grin*

I guess this officially marks the beginning of the game awards season. Last year was a little weird, because at that point only Culture Shock had been released. It did get some recognition but it was only a small slice of what we were working on. It'll be exciting to see how Season One as a whole stands up against the competition.

Oh, yeah, 'tis also the season for gift guides. Sam & Max has already shown up in a few of them...

This kind of lists always makes me sad. There are ton of great games I really wanna play, but don't have any time for.

Anyway, I voted Phoenix Wright 3. It was hard, but I think that in the end of the day, that was the better game of the two in my opinion.
I'm really sorry, but I still hope for you guys to win.

Next year; Season 2 versus Apollo Justice. That might be an awesome fight. =)

That list doesn't exactly inspire confidence in me. They seem to think that Overlord was a strategy game, which means they either have no idea what "strategy" is, or they've never played it. Another weird thing was how Metroid Prime 3 was nominated for game of the year, and yet didn't show up in any of the specific categories. So it's one of the best of the best, except in any specific category?

Oh well; S&MS1 was definitely the best of the available choices... mostly because it was the only one I've played; if I can't have been bothered to buy any of the others, S&M must be better, right? Right?

I voted for Sam and Max of course... I disagree that Zelda or Mario were adventure games (platformer would seem more appropriate to me since I've played both...) Just sucks that it's going against the fanboy fodder! But if nothing else, it just means Sam and Max are amongst the best of the best!

Voted. I agree with Venom... I dislike how Action/Adventure games get put in the Adventure category... oh well, at least true fans of the genre know what the best adventure game on that list was.

Bioshock got two votes though...
