Chariots of the Dogs... finally, find Bosco!
Posted by emily March 13, 2008

After an agonizing four week wait, Sam & Max 204: Chariots of the Dogs is up on GameTap, and will be here on Telltale's site in one short day. Finally, you'll get to find out what happened to Bosco! (Or will you...?)

We've been bursting with excitement over this episode and can't wait to hear what everyone thinks. Reviews are already coming out, including an excellent (and spoiler-free) five star review over at Adventure Gamers. AG has only given out a handful of perfect scores in the history of the site, so this is enormously high praise and we're just giddy over it.

For those who need a gentle nudge while playing, we've posted the official Chariots of the Dogs walkthrough. (It's obviously ridden with spoilery text and pictures, so if you don't want to ruin the surprise for yourself, don't click that link!) We've been holding back some concept art until after the game's release, so watch for that next week sometime.

Why, as a paying customer must we wait an extra day just because we don't use gametap? That sounds like a bad deal for Telltale and her customers.

Where have you been? They've done this all season. It's probably part of the deal to have it on Gametap and having it on the service is great exposure. I discovered the games on Gametap and ended up buying season 1 because of it, then little by little every game on the site. If the games were never on Gametap when I was there to play Myst Online, I'm not sure I would have ever discovered them. So it really is a great marketing decision IMO.

Anyway, just one more day. . .YAY!

Really can't wait. Just hope I'll have time to actually play it.

Music is coming soon. Jared's currently under the gun with 205's music, and didn't have time to prep some MP3s for us. It'll be awesome, though.

The timing here couldn't have been more perfect. I just so happen to have a three day weekend from school. :D

I don't understand why peopla are starting to complain about waiting for that game one more day NOW!
Is's been like that since the first episode of season one... so you're a bit late!

anyway
this seems to be a very good episode
sound promising!!

Bruno, Season 1 was 1week or 2. Don't remember now but it's a shorter wait this season and soon i hope, they might release on the same day

The Adventure Gamers review makes me very, very anxious! I have to finish Night of the Raving Dead first, though. Oooh, I can't wait!

There are several spoilers in that review, so read at your own risk!

Wow... 86... your highest score on metacritic yet =)
A german ehm... well... media-blog called "G wie Gorilla" also reviewed Chariot of the Dogs and concluded that it was one of your best episodes so far. I really can't wait until I'm finally able to download it. Come on, it's like... nearly 3 pm here... ;)

And since the german pendant of "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" is on hiatus atm, nothing stands between me and an evening with Sam & Max... *_*

Concerning the Gametap-discussion above: It's financing. Gametap probably pays good money for this one exclusive day. The Sam & Max Games probably would be a bit more expensive (not that it would be expensive now) if it wasn't for their sponsoring.

yeah, Trixie's right!
I already forgot that!
I just remembered, that we always had to wait a little bit.

but still, it's nothing new for us to wait
and one day... that's not so bad!

Well, due to hardware issues, I'm unable to play Smash Bros. Brawl for a while, and I completed the story of a DS game I bought yesterday, so this coming out today is good timing. Just waiting on the download right now.

Ngyahhh...I've already re-played 202 and 203 to fill time waiting! Really looking forward to this!
