With the Sam & Max season finale days away, it can only be time for one thing: a slew of soundtrack MP3 downloads for you guys. Because we missed last month, this time around we're dispensing a double-dose of downloads, featuring a mind-numbing five MP3s.
The always excellent Jared Emerson-Johnson has provided us with tracks reaching from all the way back to February's "Night of the Raving Dead," to this week's impending release, "What's New, Beelzebub?" Download them below, and don't forget to leave a comment! Enjoy.
Downloading them now! You guys already have my money as far as the CD soundtrack is concerned.

I feel like I've heard 4:59 before. Did some pieces of that music get played earlier in the season or anything?

Above the links it says "Episode 204: Night of the Raving Dead" rather than Chariot of the Dogs...

I must be sick in the head for liking 4:59. It has a hint of the same sound from The Incredibles, so maybe that has something to do with it.

But... but I could've sworn...!
I need to lay off these Glazed McGuffins!

For what it's worth, if you play the Polish localized version of Season One with the music turned down and Jurgen's Lair playing instead, it's pretty hilarious. Bonus points if you turn off the saturation on your display completely.

Is 4:59 an allusion to John Cage or some mixture of laziness, indifference and exasperation?

Nice add, Jurgen's Lair Suite is a great piece of music, easily one of the highlight's of this season soundtrack, I'd say.
On a related note, I 'flashgot' the page to get all the mp3's at once and got a mysterious .wav file that sounded like it was played backwards. The next episode being about Beelzebub and backward masking being the instrument of the devil, I thought it was a clue to something and tried to interpret it .... before realising that it was the captcha audio message.

Will there be a piece called "6:66"?

I had the same question, Kingsley.
Also, this music is awesome :)

The MP3's are great. Thanks! :D
Everything is 192kbp... oh, wait. 'The Big Stinker' isn't! Why is it 96kbps? :|

Perhaps 4:59 gets its name from the apparent corporate nature of Hell. Damned souls who are being punished with infinitely dull and horrible nine-to-five desk jobs are perpetually waiting for a 5:00 that will never come - and it's always 4:59.

Aye lovin' the music guys especially Jurgen's song and the New episode's corporate chime. I have to ask the same question as Vimes though what is this cooky wav file that was in my music batch when I used flashget, is it some eerie embedded message of hellish fury and mystery?!

"666" according to mythology, is the number of the beast. It has nothing whatsoever to do with hell, satan or the devil. Thats a hollywoodism.
Sorry, that always gets on my nerves. Cool songs, really cant wait for episode 5 now!!!

Honestly, I think 203 has my favorite music to date, with the Suite being the melon-sized cherry on top.

My favorite track in the entire series of Sam & Max episodes is probably the music from the Soul Crushing Room (El Molcajete de Almas). After that, at least in Season Two, is, yeah, probably most of the tracks from 203, especially the Jurgen's lair stuff.

Episode 203 made me realize I truly am a Disco-nut... despite my distaste for the whole disco fiasco :P
YAY! FREE MUSIC! I have no clue why I'm downloading this though if I'm going to be getting the soundtrack once that comes out.... :D
Jürgen's Lair Suite
T.H.E.M.
El Molcajete de Almas
TKO
I'm in LOVE with the first two :)
Anyway, are the rest of those MP3s coming out you promised us, Telltale? xD

Hero1 is right. The number of the beast isn't 666, it's 616. It's an old mistranslation that recently discovered copies have proved. There's an odd history of scholars over the years spotting the error, and being ignored, the most famous was Freidrich Engels who was Karl Marx's co-author. He wrote a paper on it, but yeah. 616 is the REAL number of the beast. Also the Area Code for Lansing, Michigan. COINCIDENCE? Yeah, actually.
