Update June 13: The hardcovers are now shipping! If you preordered, watch your email for a shipping notification.
Freakin finally! The hardcover edition of Surfin the Highway has finally started arriving in the office (and should be shipping out to you extremely soon!). The printer ended up printing two extra books (bringing the total to 2,502), and one of those two extra rare unnumbered babies spent the day floating around the office.
More pictures after the jump...
We still have copies, so, um, don't forget to buy one right now!
Bonus details: All the lettering, stars, and lines on the cover are stamped foil, and look really cool. The pages of the book are printed on super thick high quality paper (100 pound stock -- it looks and feels great). There's an awesome bookmark built in, so you can mark your favorite joke. And, they're of course all hand numbered and signed by Steve!

I really hope that brown page-protection thing with the print on it isn't kraft paper. Hopefully it's a really nice paper, because using such low-quality product would totally ruin my day.
Looking sharp otherwise :D

It's hard to make out in the photo but I think I can see a Max wallpaper design on the inside cover. Very classy.

that's true. maybe some additional protection would be nice, since it is probably quite heavy. also, i am a bit afraid of the customs guys and their big knifes..but 2 inch steel plating should do.

I got my book in yesterday!!!!!!!! I didn´t get to say it until today because I was to busy admiring it.
I also got The Effigy Mound, and to those of you who didn´t get it, you should probably just go kill yourself. (I´t was a joke. Please don´t do it)
I also got a hat and a poster, so now I´m just waiting for the season two disc to be released.
But I have to sleep now so that I can admire the stuff some more!!! ;D

Hi guys. Number 1166 here. Cannot beleive the quality of this book. Everything smacks of awesomeness. Totally worth the extra expense not to mention the wait. Idiotically I ordered the cartoon DVD and season 1 bonus disc at the same time back in March.
Thanks Steve and Telltale!

THIS BOOK IS SO FREAKIN COOL IT MAKES ME WANT TO TAKE AN AXE HANDLE TO MY NEIGBORS WIFE FOR SAYING THAT SAM AND MAX WERE NOTHING BUT STUPID CARTOON CHARACTERS WHO INSPIRE VIOLENCE IN THE PEOPLE WHO READ THESE COMICS.

#109 here, over in the UK.
Fantastic Book! Thanks a million Steve and Telltale for republishing. The quality of the book is absolutely amazing.
(I was worrying about where it had got to after almost a month since it had been mailed out - turns out the customs guys/royal mail had it and were demanding £12 in "customs fees" to release it! Worth it though...)
