Give us your opinion, we'll give you Telltale Texas Hold'em
Posted by Emily May 15, 2009

Hey, you! With the face! We're looking for some opinions from our fans, in the form of this survey. Answer the questions within, and we'll give you a free copy of Telltale Texas Hold'em, Telltale's first game (and still the funniest poker game around). The survey is now over. Thanks to those who participated!

For those unfamiliar with the history, Telltale Texas Hold'em was originally intended as a sort of litmus test for Telltale's engine. It turned out to be a fun game, so we decided to release it! A couple of the characters are voiced by Telltale employees (Dudebrough is played by designer Brendan Q. Ferguson, who also appeared as the bug in Sam & Max, and the announcer is Greg Land, who was a designer on Telltale's CSI games), and music was provided by Jerry Logas, father of Heather Logas, another of our former designers. You may also recognize that guy in the black shirt from Sam & Max...

And since we're celebrating our fifth anniversary with a look back at Telltale's past, here are a few Telltale Texas Hold'em related links for you...

Interesting. I just received my hard copy of Telltale Texas Hold'em (with large box) in the mail a few days ago. I have actually owned the original download version since December of 2005, though, but just for kicks, I will still take the survey.

This will round off my collection of Downloadable Telltale games! That's nice. I was never all that interested in buying Telltale Texas Hold 'Em, but it's worth it at the price of "Free".

The emails are going out in batches. I think the first group (everyone who took the survey before today) will go out today. The rest, probably early next week.

Ive got a small enqiry, why is it, on the Pier 23 Band Album (which I own) the songs have very specific times, like "2:34:794", because on the computer or stereo that time is off by a few seconds, and having such a detailed time is rather confounding.

On the ninth question, is "Downloadable games (games that I download, install and pay for)" supposed to be there twice?

... then why is Theodore Dudebrough credited as 'himself' instead of mr. BQ? Hmm?

@Lachlan_is: try Jerry's Jive for Mr. Logas' contact info.

Cool. The only Telltale game I don't have! Soon, though, my Telltale collection (and world domination) will be complete!

I bought the game yesterday not knowing there was a survey, but i will give the code to a friend.to tell you the truth i was alittle discouraged by the lack of options(only tournament) and when you beat the tournament, it just ask you if you wanna play agains,no ballon,no confetty no next round just play again,it sounds wierd but reward is very important im games. There should be more challenges and more characters, but I was impressed by the funny commentary. Its a good start though, i hope you make a new and improved sequel.

Eh, not as funny as your other stuff, TTG, but still pretty good. Lenard- uh, I mean, Boris is still crying to his mama. And it's great to see all the great jokes from (or I should say "to") S&M 103.

Hi there!

I would be interested in which game engine you use or used e.g. for "Tales of Monkey Island"? What's its name?

Thanka a lot in advance!

Greetings
