Telltale turns five! Come celebrate with us!
Posted by Emily May 14, 2009
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TELLTALE!

Five years ago today this week around this time, Telltale's fearless co-founders Kevin Bruner and Dan Connors set up shop with a dream of creating a brand new type of game. They dreamed of games that focus on story and characters, instead of shooting and fighting. Games that come out once a month instead of once every four years. Games that keep you hungry for more, yet don't make you wait *too* long to find out what happens next. You know... Telltale Games.

We're taking this opportunity to celebrate what we've accomplished, and look ahead to the future. We just announced that we've sold over a million game episodes to date. (Wow!) We couldn't have done it without you, our faithful community, so we've got a little thank you gift for you guys.

All of our newsletter subscribers have been emailed a coupon code* that discounts our game episodes (normally $8.95) to $5 each. (The discount is applied during checkout.) Of course, you can use this yourself, but better yet we're hoping you'll also send it to your friends, post it at your favorite internet haunts, pass it around on Twitter... wherever you can think of to spread the word about Telltale and our games. In return, we'll give you $1 in store credit every time someone uses your coupon to make a purchase. This page has all the details.

This coupon can be used an unlimited number of times between now and June 17, so start spreading the word! We're also planning some fun looks back at the past five years, so make sure to keep an eye on the site for the next few weeks.

*If you're not already a newsletter subscriber, you can participate in this promo just by signing up!
