This is awesome. How long have we been waiting for more MI? The many rumours have resulted in a running joke saying "this is about as likely as MI5". Well, not anymore. A pity - I grew fond of the joke - but oh so worth it.

And I thought reviving Sam And Max was the greatest thing you guys could do. Thanks for proving me wrong, and for getting me to grin ear-to-ear like an idiot while stuck at work.

Now if you can somehow work in those Largo LaGrand lines that Armato recorded for the Mix 'n' Mojo hoax all those years back, it will be even more perfect.

@Kit - The DVD does include all the episodes, as well as some sort of extras. (We'll put the trailers, wallpapers, concept art, videos, etc on there along with the games, and hopefully some special stuff as well, but time will tell on that!)

PSN release? please? there's no size limit, so you won't have to butcher the audio quality like the WiiWare releases...

That's great and all, but what's the interface like? I hated hated HATED Wallace and Gromitts interface, but I loved the one for the Sam and Max games. It'd better be a point and click or I'll be severely disappointed.

I was just saying to someone last week that Telltale should get hold of the Monkey Island license :). The question is, is Ron Gilbert going to be involved? He may be busy with Deathspank lately, but I expect he'd make some time to consult... at the very least, he'd probably answer a few questions for free via e-mail/phone.

Though I expect Telltale would do a good job by themselves, yet another Monkey Island game without Ron Gilbert would seem kind of sad to me.

See, this is why I wish I could just Telltale Games power of attorney over my credit card. Just charge it as you announce it, guys.

I'm so excited about this, I had already given up hope of there ever being a sequel! This is awesome news.

But like many others, I would like to know if there is going to be a Mac version of either the episodic content or the DVD? Because I'd be ready to preorder right now, but there's not much of a point if I can't play it on my computer...

That's exactly what I thought. I mean, we all know what happened with Freelance Police in twothousand-what, which then led to forming TTG. I guess you can bury the hatchet, after all.

Remember, back in the day, a Full Throttle sequel was also on the table (demo gameplay video was released) only to be trashed the same way. Considering this newly established companionship, I wouldn't say it's too far-fetched of an idea to build something from there in the future.

Not that that's necessarily a good idea, but plausible. Besides reviving those retro franchises, they should think of new ones also. I cannot fully express my delight to the fact that while TTG keeps doing the industry benchmarked quality work that it does, other companies might start to show interest towards this once buried genre.

And I once thought Lucasarts was only interested in its seventy different lines on Star Wars games.

I'm nearing my 50s and couldn't believe how excited I could get over a game, especially after not having played any for years! This is great, and I've missed the Guybrush gang. One of the greatest, funniest and challenging pc games ever. AARGH matey... No hesitation in pre-ordering. I'm really looking forward to playing the Tales of Monkey Island. YEY!

No they haven't changed the voice. Dominic Armato is back as Guybrush !!!
The 3D style has been addressed before. It's simply the most cost-effective way to make the MI episodes, and I am sure it's gonna be absolutely great!

This is an amazing announcement. Now since Monkey Island makes refrence to Loom, any chance we'll see episodic Loom games. The first one ended on a very obvious cliffhanger.

Now all they need to do is convince Lucasarts to let them make a sequel to Day of the Tentacle. :)
