	Dear Telltale, I would like to extend my congratulations on this well-conducted social experiment. The data collected by observing the comments posted by the mob of gamers desperate for Monkey-and-Narwhal-infused entertainment should prove quite valuable to the whole industry of behavioral science. I personally find the posting of a single phrase repeated dozens of time particularly interesting, and I am considering writing an article on this phenomenon to be published in Stan's Semi-Bi-Weekly Gazette. I hope to see more of these human experiments from Telltale in the future. Perhaps in addition to depriving the subjects of desired entertainment, you could find a way to include additional stresses such as paper cuts, wedgies, and of course stinging insults. Thank you for your devotion to scientific discovery. I look forward to future experimentation by TellTale. I must make this communication short as I now must go play TALES OF MONKEY ISLAND ZOMG!! 	It's funny how the site couldn't even handle the pre-release pressure, but the download has no problem doing nearly 1 MB/s (this is from Australia). Pretty sure I know why this is the case, but I was still a bit worried there might be problems. It's nearly 10 am on July 8 here, so nobody else is allowed to complain about the lateness. Except New Zealanders, but nobody cares about them.

	Wow. Finally :) When the server went down I started playing MI2. Now I'm really in the mood for some pirate adventures. Here in Hungary it's 2AM now and the dl speed is 50-60kbytes/sec so it'll take another hour to download, but I don't care, I'm happy, after nine years I'm gonna play a brand new MI game :) While the game is downloading I'll finish some work, and then I'll play until my daughter wakes up :)

	I just wanted to say thanks. I, like many others, have been waiting for a new MI game forever. Telltale, you are the most awesome game company ever. 	Chill: I'm going to throw out a suggestion with the hopes of helping you install the game. I'm basing this off of Luiss' comment and the error message you posted. (http://clip2net.com/clip/m4476/1247012419-clip-11kb.png) 1) Is your username Ctac or C(special-character)ac? The latter may look cool, but it may also be messing up the installer. 2) If not your username, is your folder named H:\Users\Ctac or H:\Users\C(special-character)ac? The second character looks different than the lower-case t in AppData, so I'm guessing the latter in both cases. Can you create a new account on your machine with a boring ASCII-character-only username and path, then reattempt installation?

	To buy just the first episode I think you need to download the demo from the Monkey Island page, then when you get to a certain point you will need to unlock the full game (it's already fully downloaded in the demo install). Pretty sure you'll be be able to pay and unlock it by following the instructions at that point, but don't quote me on that. At the least you'll be able to play it up to the end of the demo section.

	For all the people complaining its not on the wii right now, BLAME NINTENDO! They only release new stuff like every monday if I recall correctly so you might get it on monday, however it took them a long time to release the zelda's from the 64 as well. But TellTale most likely tried as hard as they could to get the launchs to co-inside with each other. But yet again Nintendo proves its incappable of doing anything right when it comes to online.

	Adam change some graphic card options. Has something to do with ansi filter settings or maybe AA. Happens to me too in other games with my card sometimes. But it is a graphic driver prob. BTW Great game!!!!!!!!!!!! I just played it to the end (4 Hours amazing gameplay für 5€... PERFECT). Is there really no possibility to bring the next chapters earlier... !!! PLEASE cry

	I finished the ~~game~~ chapter, so without any spoilers I will just say that I thought that the puzzles were too easy and that there were not enough locations (esp. interiors). Because of these two things the ~~game~~ chapter also seemed a bit short. Other than that It was great, a real piratey monkey island game

	Just finished the chapter, one word AWESOME. Thourougly impressed, even felt a tear from going back in time. Thank you TELLTALE and especially to Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman for not loosing any touch on the series, just as good as the others. We should all thank Lucas Arts for allowing this masterpiece to be made, cant wait for episode 2. Will definately buy on Wii as well when the whole season is released on disc.

	This series is actually a little different than other Telltale fair. Instead of episodes they're chapters and they all add up to one big completely cohesive story so buying them individually or out of order doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

	I still remember driving 20 minutes through a thunderstorm to pick up Monkey Island 4 at the nearest mall the day it came out in 2000. Seeing the opening titles of a new Monkey Island game last night was transcendently surreal. I didn't get to play long before I had to give in to sleep, but it was awesome. Telltale Games is my hero.

	Congratulations Telltale ! The first four games seem to have a worthy successor, I think you've proved you were fans of MI by making such a great game which capture the spirit of the entire saga. 	I'm enjoying it but I still feel that the 3d format doesn't suit the monkey Island games as well. The 2d style of 'Curse of' was far more atmospheric and it made the characters more individual.

Maybe they're trying to get in touch with the various voice actors who dubbed it to other languages? I for one would love to see it in French with the original main cast (Paolo Domingo as Guybrush, Marie-Laure Dougnac as Elaine, and Mario Santini as LeChuck), unfortunately Mr Santini passed away long ago but it would be great to have at least the Guybrushes back.

	@telltale> As for the game itself, in English, I was overwhelmed by emotion when I played it today. I doubt anyone at Telltale will read this, but if they do, please be sure to know that you have made a new friend over there in the Marquis de Singe's country :) I couldn't stop laughing during the dialogue scene between LeChuck and Guybrush, and then I enjoyed a lot this short trip to Flotsam Island. It was just as worthy as any previous episode, which was not an easy task to accomplish, given how many years have passed, and how hard it is to please old timers like me who played the original MI1/MI2 nearly 20 years ago. Well you certainly did, big time. This first episode was certainly worth my $35, even if the following episodes aren't on par. Of course they will be, but you get my point.

	(Follow up) Monkey Island has always been with me, I'm not devoting my life to it, but it certainly has had an influence in my enthusiasm for video games, and then my later career choices (I made a living selling a small mahjongg game, which doesn't have anything to do with MI, apart from being a 3D thingie with nice music and lots of love.) Today, the magic was back. Or voodoo, if you will. Hopefully, the community's enthusiasm will convince you to produce more seasons of Monkey Island. We're all for it. Thank you TTG, and thank you LucasArts for finally playing it fair and sharing your license! Gotta buy that SOMI:SE in a week, too!

	I've been playing Monkey Island since the 16 color floppy disk version, and I can say without a doubt that you've captured the spirit of the series perfectly. You nailed it, guys. For me, there were only a few flaws: - Moving around with the mouse was meh... Fortunatelly, the gamepad-mouse combination was good enought for me. - There were some sound-bugs (like when the cursed hand slaps randomly). In any case, please acept my warmest congratulations. Keep ut the goord work.

	One of the sound bugs I noticed was that the parrot would sometimes not have any sound playing when its subtitles say "I'm Guybrush Threepwood". It happened twice to me -- once when it was thrown to the ground, and the other time at the ancient door. No biggie though.

	After all I still have fun playing the first episode. The controls are a mess (I can manage, but I miss point&click for walking and entering/leaving locations. It would also nice to not close the inventory with right click, but "examine objects" with right click. I had problems realizing that I can change the height of the chair with W and S. There is a helptext but I ignored it, thinking it just re-explained the basic controls. Also I don't need to sort items in the inventory, it would be more useful to directly combine them like in Monkey Island 3 and nearly all current adventures. I think telltale should rework the controls. Not because I am not happy with them but because other people won't buy the game because they hear about the control scheme and have problems the first minutes during the demo. You got it right in Sam&Max, why change the controls for the worse? Because of the Wii version? It has to be possible to make DIFFERENT controls without damaging the pc version.

When I saw the first bits of footage for ToMI, I had some doubts about the graphics and the animation, but seeing the completed episode before me has permanently put those fears to rest. Never has a CGI Guybrush looked so alive, and his new design works perfectly with Dominic Armato's voice. The character animation is wonderful, and the expressions alone were enough to send me into giggles several times. And the special effects! I couldn't get over how COOL those looked! I loved the writing, with its in-jokes and horrendous puns. The puzzles are clever, but not overly frustrating. They're definitely not as challenging as the original Monkey Island games, but I don't mind that. The only complaint I have is that the controls for moving Guybrush around with the mouse are not as smooth as they could be. I can't wait for the next one....

	Do you want my honest opinion? Very nice! =) When I first saw the screenshots and the gameplay video I wasn't that excited, I thought it looks really bad. But after I actually played the game I think the graphics, the animations, the much discussed controls, the story and the humor fit all very very well and I have to say: This is a real Monkey Island, my compliments! =) And it was also nice to see that the puzzles are a bit more challeging than Wallace&Gromit!

	When are you guys going to release it on wiiware in germany? And besides, why on earth did you think, it'd be a good idea to let the users pay for your future work? Why would I pay for 5 episodes while you may not even finish the second one due to the world-economy-crisis??? mumble.. hopefully you will let the wiiware users pay per episode. In total I'd spend more money and would even feel better that way.

	hmm maybe the last guy was wally?! or was it a girl? loved the series... but where the puzzles easyer then the MI1-4? I didnt use much time on any of the puzzles in this game. Maybe iam just starting to get good at puzzle games? :P

	This is easily the third best Monkey Island game, and the best work I've seen by Mike Stemmle. Love what you're doing with the locations, I hardly missed being indoors at all.

	So it is now the 10th and today in the UK there has been a wii ware update with new games added but no monkey island??? If it was a case of waiting until the next nintendo update it has happened. It would be nice to have some official update on this.

	Just finished the first episode. Nicely done guys, was concerned that it wouldn't capture the true MI wit and humor. Glad to see I was wrong, some great moments in the first ep alone... GOOO Porcelain Power Pirates!!!! And the YouTube references were great... Looking forward to the next episode...

	It sounds fantastic and I can't wait to play, but like many others I'm waiting for the Wiiware version, hopefully when you guys get back in to work on Monday morning you could give us an update on its status. Congrats on what looks like an excellent PC launch though. :)
