Photoshop'd!
Posted by Nikki H August 11, 2009

The TTG forums hosted a Monkey Island Photoshop thread and we loved it so much that we're giving credit where credit is due. We scoured through entries. We laughed. We cried a little. We stared fervently at our most prized entries. The most masterful, amusing and wall-hangable submissions have been selected.

Without further ado, "The Grossman" (for excellence in making Dave laugh) goes to...

retro!
Irishmile for Sackbrush!

"Bringin' Retro Back" goes to...

retro!
Bagge & Scapetti - Lab

"Most Likely to Hang in a Gallery"

retro!
Laserschwert - Painting

"Tom Clancy's Nightmare"

retro!
Tim - SplinterCell

"Most Likely to Fit in an A: Drive"

retro!
Hansschmucker - 7ColorGuybrush

"Dashing!"

retro!
Haggis - BnW

Special gifts will be delivered to all the artists displayed above, and all participants receive a little bonus themselves, 'cause we're generous like that. Head over to the forums, offer your congratulations and see the rest of the fine artwork!

From all of us at Telltale, thanks for the laughs!

Wow! Some fantastic and very creative submissions. Congrats to all...I'm especially impressed by the "bringin' retro back" entry -- makes me wish I could play TOMI that way!

Further proof that awesomeness can be born through adversity. *tear*

In all seriousness, this contest was a blast to follow. Let's do it again sometime (y'know, the fun part ;).

Congrats to the winners!

Photoshop'd?

"INCORRECT: The image was photoshopped.
CORRECT: The image was enhanced using Adobe® Photoshop® software.

If you use a pirated® version of Adobe® Photoshop®, is it then correct to drop the ®? Since it would not be registered in that case...

Also, it's 'copied using a Xerox® copier', not 'xeroxed', and 'found through the Google® Internet search engine', not 'googled'.

I find it pretty hilarious that Adobe think they can control everyday language.

Adobe should be happy that everyone is doing free publicity of their products, saying "photoshopped" each time a picture has been edited, even if Photoshop wasn't used at all.

Please, stop making free advertising for Adobe. They're already a pretty big monopoly as it is now!

Well, I can proudly say that none of my entries were photoshopped, they were paintshopproed instead.
