Spread Pirate Awareness
Posted by David E September 14, 2009

Won't you help?Hello there, or rather, "Ahoy". This post is an effort to bring to light the fact that this is Pirate Awareness Week here at Telltale. All too often, people go about their daily lives without giving a single thought to the pirates of yore and their fabled adventures on 17th century seas. We intend to change that.

You might already know that this Saturday (September 19th) is International Talk like a Pirate Day, a holiday founded in 1995 by and for pirate enthusiasts around the world. But is one day really enough to commemorate and celebrate pirate culture? Certainly, we're planning something special for this Saturday—and we'll tell you more about it soon!—but we've decided to start this year's festivities a little early, and we hope you'll join us. Won't you help?

Take a moment to participate in the following pirate activities, and stay tuned for more important Pirate Awareness events this week.

The way they appeared to handle Tales of Monkey Island implies there will be a "I wonder what happens-" vid before launch of the episode. So unless when they say what they're doing Saturday includes that video...

I do hope it's episode 3. They're showing the third game anyway... (Need to find that game...)

Wow - good newss. Nothing about any releases, burt just a worldwide pirate day. Good job... Not telling the customers anything about the game, the release date of part three in in the US ord part two in Europe.

Maybe you should concentrate more on your customer care than on day like this?

Hi all,

The news on the chapter 3 date is coming very soon. The team's working away on this now. While this won't be the Talk Like a Pirate Day "something" that Dave mentions in the post above, we expect that the game will release fairly soon after that day.

And the next I Wonder What Happens video will get posted this week, before Talk Like a Pirate Day.

For Saturday, we're excited that we're in the midst of a big epic pirate saga on this annual swashbucking celebration time. We hope all will be in the spirit of pirateyness this weekend.

OMG, that would be so awesome! MI2: Lechuck's Revenge SE FTW!

Personally I don't care what it is, Telltale has been doing all sorts of cool things so it's bound to be good! Plus just the fact that there is a really good chance it's Monkey Island related is Crazy! A dead series, I think Not...

(LucasArts would be announcing a LeChuck's Revenge remake surely, not TTG)

Well yes but it's possible that Telltale will link to Lucasarts. Currently Lucasarts links to tell tale with info about Tales of MI.

Pirate games are simply instant hits when it comes boys birthday parties. Among the classic party themes is the pirate theme, and if you are planning on making this the theme for your kid’s upcoming birthday, you can rest assured that you are one great step on the road towards making a wonderful time for your children. I love pirate games
