Spinner Cay. WiiWare. Europe. September 25.
Posted by David E September 17, 2009

Woo! We just heard from our friends at Nintendo, and they've confirmed that Chapter 2 of Tales of Monkey Island, "The Siege of Spinner Cay", will be released on WiiWare in Europe next Friday, September 25, 2009.

In related news, Dave Grossman's across the pond talking up episodic gaming and Monkey Island over at the Nintendo Europe WiiWare & DSiWare press event in London. Check out some coverage of the event on CasualGaming.biz, Cubed3.com, and Nintendo Life.

Well, at least we've got some concrete information now.
Still, it was taking them way too long. I don't want to see something like this happen with episode 3.

Don't blame Telltale Happy, it's all on Nintendo's side. Also I'm not sure what you mean keyhole, the PC release here on the site is worldwide. You can download it right now if you want.

Actually, tobar, I was referring to Nintendo.
Nintendo had the softare ,what, 3 weeks ago?
They released it in American Territories quite a while ago, yet still it is held back on the european shop.
Todays update got us 2 other Wiiware games.
What upsets me the most is that they refuse to give us a reason why it's taking them so long to get it over here.

Yay.
It's about time nintendo finally decided to let us play the game.
I'm looking forward to it.

I just hope that we don't have this kind delay for chapter 3, 4 or 5 too.............but if strongbad is anything to go by.......we will. =(

So, you are trying to tell us that you, even though you have created the bestselling Wiiware game at the moment, have no say when it comes to release dates? We are very close to getting episode 2 AFTER episode 3 is released in the us. Will we even be able to enjoy the entire game before this year is over?

Whilst playing the 1st episode I felt like I was playing the latest game on a four yearold PC - the speech was stuttered, the rendering was choppy, it was like having a graphics card over amped, but this game is written and dedicated to the wii console??
It was like those horrible Gamecube games where the coding had been through the PC version to PS2 convertor then the PS2 to Gamecube converter (Jedi Knight 2, you know what I'm talking about)

PLEAASE Tell tale, gameplay is more important than the graphic quality, i know you['re limited by the download size for wii, so just rev down the graphics a bit - the jokes and script are the most important thing!!

Finally, the customers know the release date...

It sucks that Telltale can't do anything about this release date in Europe...but pleasseeee....just give us a little bit more information by posting something on the forum every once in a while. This way we won't get the feeling that we're talking to a wall here.

Next friday I won't be able to post anything at all....^^

(unless it's still not on WiiWare then:P)
