Hey, the thrilling fourth chapter of Tales of Monkey Island is now available on WiiWare in North America! Download the game on your Wii for 1000 points and play through the much talked-about episode, "The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood" today!

(Unfortunately, the European WiiWare release date is not confirmed yet, but we'll let everyone know about that when we know for sure.)

great to hear, i'm headed to the wii storefront immediately. i've thankfully thwarted the desire within me to read what happens next.

to those debating between the wii and pc versions:

yes, the wii version comes out later than the pc version, and the wii version is graphically inferior by comparison, but i'll gladly take friends and family being able to watch the adventure and help me play through it over both of those issues.

no one likes to watch people play pc games for more than a few minutes and besides, what better way to spread the word of telltale's wonderful adventure games.

I'm guessing the last chapter for WiiWare will come out either on December 21 or 28, 2009.

I downloaded it a couple days ago. Probably about half way through (maybe less) and I am really enjoying it. The island looks much different at night and its a conforting feeling to be back on it....kinda haha

Haha, this episode of Today on the spot, the person who was announcing the new wiiware titles pronounced Threepwood "Thriftwood", lol.

Pffff. Been a Monkey Island fan since the game came out on pc. But why oh why do we have to wait so long in Europe for chapter 4 ???????????

Although I don't agree with the tone of frustrated gamer girl, I do agree with the sentiment. It does suck that the European release dates are getting further apart whereas the PC version pretty much came out 30 days one after another - as promised. I can't believe that the PC has even got two episodes ahead!

Massive paycuts all round to the team porting the European version! Hopefully with the extra pennies spent on the Wii version, some of that'll get back to TellTale and they can buy some better coders!
