Posted by David E February 11, 2010

The rumors are true. We're bringing our awesome games library to Macintosh Computers everywhere. We're massively excited to announce that the Mac version of Tales of Monkey Island is available now! Yeah, right now! Go get it already!

Power to the People

Mac Revolution

Over the next two weeks, we'll be letting you fine folks decide our next step. On our Mac Games page, you'll be able to vote on which game in our catalog we should release next on Mac! Choose between Sam & Max, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, or Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures between now and midnight Pacific Time on February 21st.

Make your voice heard over at telltalegames.com/macgames, then spread the word! One lucky voter will make it into the credits of the winning Mac game!

Vote for Sam & Max!Vote for Strong Bad!Vote for Wallace & Gromit!

Bought it from us already? You now own the Mac version, too.

Important (and entirely non-lame) fact: If you've already purchased one of our games from our website for PC, you'll be able to download the Mac version of that game once it's available at no extra cost. It's already in your account! Just head over to your games list and click the Mac download button. At present, only Monkey Island is available, but as we roll out our other titles, you'll be able to play them without having to re-buy. You're welcome!

We're off to MacWorld!

Are you headed to the MacWorld Expo in San Francisco? Telltale will be there, stationed at booth #786 from February 11th through the 13th. We'll be hanging out, selling stuff, and demoing Tales of Monkey Island. Stop by and say hi!

Great, this will make some friends very, very happy indeed. I wonder if the third Sam & Max season will be available on Mac at the same time as the PC episodes ship...

On another note, I don't think the link to the press release works. It also doesn't show up on your list of other press releases.

Most game developers, if not ,all game developers make games for pc and as they get bigger and better, they start to go to consoles and abandone the pc. It's a nice thing to see mac and other systems getting games, but i'm worried pc is going to be left behind again, although it would be difficult to imagine how point and click could ever leave the pc, but there you go.

Now that you probably have a well written & portable engine, would you maybe consider making Linux ports as well ? (to make it simple for you, you could just focus on the most popular distro, maybe - Ubuntu packages ?)

Guys guys GUYS!
That sounds great. My hope is, if there is an port to a Mac system, it is easier to create a port for linux systems so it is possible to play without an emulator or stuff like that. That would be fantastic! Seriously, i would pay for this game if its newly realised for linux.
Please think about it.

And... do you guys know "Toons Truck"? THAT would be a very great port!

When you created Mac and Wii Software, it shouldn't be so difficult to make a Linux Port.

I've seen in the Forum, you uses on Mac Technology that is also usable on Linux and when you created a Wii Version (which is also a Linux System), it shouldn't difficult to make a nativley build for the biggest Linux Distros (Ubuntu/Debian, SUSE, Fedora, Mandriva, ... ).

Bought both Sam and Max Sessons + the monkey island. It always was a pain to get it running. Now you are showing that it is possible to support something else than Windows. Now please make also a Linux port... because you have buyers using 100% linux and I am really losing my interest in supporting developers that are not providing what I actually want... Linux support. So please do not forget us!
