Posted by Nikki H February 18, 2010

Wow! We've had a bunch of fans come out in support of Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People! Maybe you're a Sam and Max fan mainly, or maybe the wild invention of Wallace and Gromit is your style. Perhaps you changed your legal last name to Threepwood and have learned to audibly pronounce a trademark symbol. This is for you! They love it, and this is a chance for you to love it too. Until February 28th, we're offering Strong Bad's Game for $9.95, 5 episodes of mayhem, music, and kicking The Cheat! A mere ten bucks for all the coolness you need to sweet talk the ladies and scroll the buttons.

But wait!
Australia? New Zealand, do you read me?
How about Europe?

A long awaited announcement is at hand! Yes, you can NOW play Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 5 Rise Of The Pirate God on Wiiware! No other fakey pirate gods, no other simian islands, the real thing! Tune in, load up, Wii out.

So this means that people waiting for the Mac version won't get the sale?
Bummer.

@Quincy

No, because Telltale is awesome and has one price for both versions of the game... this means people waiting for the Mac version can buy it now and then just download it once the Mac version becomes available. At least, this is my understanding. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hm. Am I doing it wrong, or is there no discount applied to a season upgrade?

@AllHailMurray- That sounds right. Only thing is that there is no guarantee that Strong Bad's game will be out any time soon for the Mac.

@Derwin

It will be out sooner than Sam & Max or Wallace & Gromit, and the sale will only be for a bit so you might as well.

THX guys for Monkey Island Chapter 5 on the Wii. Now I can continue becoming a Mighty Pirate (TM) :D

As a fan of the Wii Series I would like to know how many times the series was actually downloaded from wiiware.

Best regards,

Chris

lol I thought by the title that it meant that strong badia the free was free.
Of course the season upgrade makes it feel like that episode and maybe 1 more is free, sortof.

Hmmm....I have chapters 2, 4 and 5, and I was planning on buying the other two on wiiware. Do you think I should buy this just so I can get the dvd for free? I'm highly considering it.

Telltale is madly selling off it's old series. Sam and Max season one was to incite interest in season 3, don't tell me this means that they're making Strong Bad Season 2.... Lets hope not.

Let's hope SO! They did a great job on the first season + simpler/ already made grafics = more time to work on actual game.

Tune in - Vote and keep track of the Mac election! Load up - Mac owners can start playing ToMI right now! Wii out - Those European, Aussie and Kiwi types can finally play RotPG on their Wii, and that's the end of the post, a.s.a. "We out".

And yet there is STILL no word of a PS3 edition.

Pff PS3 is too expensive to develop games for. Why bother porting a game with simple graphics to a next gen console? I doubt theres a single PS3 gamer out there who doesn't have a PC that can run TOMI or a Wii. PS3 just doesn't make any sense financially, and it's a business. They've done their research and they know what they are doing.

You'll be fine taurus.

9,95 that's a price I like! I can easily forget about the PS3 Edition but would love to see Strong for the Mac. Let's just wait and see.

I don't have a PC that can run Tales of Monkey Island, I don't have a Wii but I have a PS3.. The PS3 is bigger around the world than the Xbox I'd love to play Telltale games on it myself. Seeing what they look like on a big screen TV would be great.

I think this was much more clever or accurate than I actually had intended. Lena should be my official interpreter, so she can make everything I say sound genius.
