Won't You Be My Neighbor?
Posted by Nikki H March 3, 2010

We put Telltale Tuesday participants on the hunt for real estate by asking, if the Freelance Police were to move offices, what would their intersection be? A few enterprising fans scoped out the neighborhood and suggested thus:

Point & Click
brunner

Time St. & Space Ave.
@candyman106

Maybe not the best area of the city, but Down Street seems popular:

Keep it on the Down & Low.
Shane

Down & Out
haydenwce27

Maybe not the best areas of the city, but the rent is cheap:

Cruel & Unusual
t7bros

Freeze & Dirtbag
EmmanuelMunoz

Red Light District?:

Corner of Wink Rd and Nod Street.
Bryan Clendening

Instead of a massive commission check, our winners get a free game episode and a realtor career path booklet. Pretty sweet haul. Next Tuesday we have more top-of-our-head prompts for you, to fuel our villainous plan to invade and decode your brain waves. For science!

Thanks for the patience in waiting for the announcement! All I can offer is plague-ridden hugs in return. Winners of this and the last contest will get their free episodes mailed to them in the next few days, barring further raptor-flu outbreaks.

aww man. how could ya go wrong with "Hello Kitty & McGruff" Street? that was actually in a Sam & Max comic strip! oh well. as a friend of mine once said: "If Life teaches us anything, it teaches us to accept our failures, as well as our succeses, with quiet, dignity, and grace."

................

then, of course, he threw a temper tantrum and started swearing like a sailor.

The tortured, tormented ghosts of Gustav and Bjørn will not take kindly to your irreverent indifference. For once you will have united the two ever-inimical forces and homicidal violence of extreme metal in common cause against your obviously tame and sorry vanilla '80s classical and NWOBHM bias, Telltale.

Oh well, I suppose it was for the better. In all seriousness, given how distasteful the '90s were, this does not do damage to my sincere hope that any possible in-game metal-related references and tributes would be left confined to a more classic '80s sound (recalling the background music in the '80s portion of the time-travel episode) and direction.

And as for things Viking anyway, the blustering but loveable pseudo-Viking buffoonery of Manowar would be infinitely more suited to the Sam and Max universe than would be the severe seriousness with which modern-day Viking descendants handled the extreme metal genres of the '90s. Eric Adams' and Max' comedic-style cravings for blood and violence seem to share a similar type of hilarity that would make them good partners in crime should Max turn rogue one day.

Mama told me that being direct is unladylike.

"If Life teaches us anything, it teaches us to accept our failures, as well as our succeses, with quiet, dignity, and grace."

SEDAGIVE!

....Indeed.
