Coming in June! Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent
Posted by David E May 4, 2010

Howdy, folks! This June, we'll be releasing a totally different kind of Telltale game, lovingly created in the style of our friend (and former Telltale creative director) Graham Annable! What's more, you can pre-order the game right now for PC and Mac, and save on just about everything else in your cart! We'll have more on that in mere moments, but first, some details:

Special Agent Nelson Tethers, the sole member of the FBI's Puzzle Research division, is on his way to the icy heart of the Midwestern United States to investigate the apparent stoppage of all production at the Scoggins Erasers Company--the exclusive eraser provider for the White House. No one is really sure why the citizens of this sleepy, snow-covered town have become almost paralyzed while attempting to accomplish simple day-to-day tasks; it's up to Special Agent Tethers to unravel the source of this madness, and get the factory pumping out its much-needed erasers.

Intrigued? Pre-order now!

Pre-Order Offer:

If you buy Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent before the pre-order period ends in June, you'll get 50% off the other items in your cart! Whoa. Maybe you can start by picking up the new Book of Grickle, or a Space Wolf T-shirt, hmm? This offer doesn't play nice with the current deal on the Monkey Island Bundle, but you're already saving a ton on that, aren't you?

More game info, including a video briefing from Graham Annable and Mark Darin at puzzleagent.com.

Like I did with Bone, is this the right time to finally check the comics, so I have to preorder? :P It'll be interesting to see, though.

First The Devil's Playhouse, and now this... Telltale games really do look amazing these days.

Very, very excited about this. You've got my money, TTG.

Yes! This is so much better than the days of Wallace & a non-speaking animal's Mildly-Entertaining pseudo-adventures! Hopefully, this time the bad guys won't be so glaringly obvious. I'm glad Telltale is changing its formula, for better or worse.

What platforms are you releasing this for?

There isn't an actual mention about that in this blog post nor in the store article, except below this blog post there are some tags: iPad, Mac, WiiWare. I suppose PC is also one of the release platforms, is it?

You should specify in the store article the platform we're actually buying/preordering for, since I suppose buying in the TTG store won't get you the WiiWare or iPad version, for example (this might be obvious for regular TTG customers, but maybe not for everyone).

Also, in the store it says it's a "Pilot!". Does that mean a second episode might not come out if the first one is not successful?

Hi OMA

Pre-orders are for PC / Mac (your purchase gets you both platforms). Game will be available in June.

Additional platforms to come are iPhone, iPad and WiiWare.

Oma: Short answer: Yes. Long Answer: For the company, yes. For some of the members of the company, not the first (LucasArts games).

Why isn't PSN on the list of platforms? If PSN is coming later, will pre-ordering for PC get me a discount code for PSN later?

Who's doing the music? Will it have some live instruments/performance, or will it all be synth/computer?

I'm excited for this pilot concept, but I hope it doesn't delay the next season of Strongbad or an Aqua Teen Hunger Force game.

Ah! What a nasty time to open your wallet and find out that you don't have 10 bucks.

Honestly, the cartoons didn't strike me as very interesting, but this game does! I'll buy it... as soon as I'll be able to find 10 dollars.
