Is the whispered world playable in German?

(I play English games all the time, but my native language is German, and on those rare occasions where a German developer create a game worth playing I don't want to play a translated version.)

After Sam & Max unlocks, can we still get a free copy of the DVD version by using our order number?

This is a really good deal. King's Quest alone, which is 7 games, is worth the $20. Haven't tried Penny Arcade, WW or JK myself but looking forward to it.

Whispered World is a great game. That alone is worth 20 bucks (as is the King's Quest series). In fact, it still costs $30 on Steam!

@matador, if it's the same version of WW that they sell on Steam and the Adventure Shop, then it doesn't have a German setting. Sorry :(

In fact, the current prices for all of these games on Steam...

The Whispered World - $29.99
Jack Keane - $19.99
King's Quest Collection - $19.99
Penny Arcade Adventures - $4.99
Puzzle Agent - $9.99
Sam & Max Season 2 - $29.99

So we're talking $115 worth of games for 20 bucks. If any of the games appeal to you, that's a helluva deal.

Will I be able to gift any of the games in this package. Like if I already have Sam & Max 2 and want to give it to a friend?

@BlankCanvasDJ: Are you sure? The game's page on steam explicitly lists "English, French, German, Italian, Spanish" as playable languages...

Hmm, maybe Steam lets you download a different version? I'm not sure, I think I got mine from Adventure Shop and I haven't found any way to change the language from within the game. Don't quote me on it, though, there might be a method I just don't know about.

This is a fantastic deal with five fantastic causes, but what if I already have both Sam & Max and Puzzle Agent?

I know that it's wrong to think only of myself like this in light of the purpose of this event, but I'd still like to know if there's some sort of alternate incentive.

even after this sale is over, will all these games be available on the Telltale Store like The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition?

these are just digi downloads and you guys think the older game set is worth something? im lost here

if you already own all the games .. again .. im at a loss to say why id buy them..

if it was the boxed sets id say.. lets go! but im guessing its not

all the games in this series rock.. to bad only one episode of the penny arcade game.. which is really old and almost free btw..

This is an awesome deal, with a great benefit. Thank you for doing this Telltale! I have submitted this deal to dealnews.com and techbargains.com. It was already mentioned in the forums of slickdeals.net.

I also submitted this deal to Spoofee.com. Does anybody else here know of any place to promote this deal.

I've already submitted this as a tip on Kotaku. If anyone frequents The Escapist, Destructoid, or any other video game blogs and sites, send tips to them as well!

And tweeting a buttload of times probably won't hurt either :P

Got the notification yesterday and, needless to say, got curious immediately.
It's an interesting deal, but I can't help but point out that the promo "6 great games, 5 great causes, 1 great price" is a bit misleading.
6 great games? Pardon me, but for $19,95, you only get the first 4 games with certainty, of which the King's Quest Collection is a bundle of 7 wonderful, but non the less extremely old, games.

The requirement to get "Puzzle Agent" is 5,000 bundles sold (that translates into about $100,000). And if that graphic is in scale, at least another 5,000 bundles are required to get "Sam & Max: Season 2" (and that translates into another $100,000).

Now, lets do some simple math.
From the moment I first visited the promo page till now (a 24 hours frame, give or take), the boundles sold are around 450. If the rate remains steady, this would make another 2,250 -2,300 boundles till the end of the promo. A little over 3,000 boundles altogether.
So, getting "Puzzle Agent" doesn't look feasible, while getting "Sam & Max: Season 2" looks fictitious.

A good deal, but a misleading promotion.

This is, like, the greatest thing ever. I've been searching for King's Quest for MONTHS now. Not only that, but it donates to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I had Leukemia when I was a little kid, and it sucks. And $20 for 6 games is a pretty good deal, even though however many has to be sold for Puzzle Agent and S&M season 2.

you wont really OWN the games..

digi downloads suck sorry..

i dont go for owning virtual sock.. its like saying a SIMS house is worth real market value..
or that a WOW characters items are really worth that money people do pay for it on blackmarket ebay

sorry.. no boxes .. not really owning the game.. its why i loathe steam releases unless they are those tiny games which never will have the packaging

also it seems odd it costs the same to buy digi downloads as it does to get say the CE of the same..
take mafia 2 for example.. cost is greater.. and you dont get the CE package which is a tin and soundtrack.. if you buy that same thing in the store you do...
why does it cost the SAME on steam then.. sigh... because morons will pay for it..
ohhhh i can click!

buy now buy nooooww

sigh dlc i hate you..

I just dropped in to see how the sale's going and noticed that "Puzzle Agent" is unlocked!!
That's so great, given that the sold bundles have not reached the magic 5k number - far from it, it's around 1,100 right now.

I do hope that the 5k bundles required to unlock "Sam & Max: Season 2" will also be revised before the promo ends, so that the punch line "6 great games, 5 great causes, 1 great price" proves true.

So far, kudos to Telltale Games for realizing and, most importantly, admiting that the original goal set was rather unrealistic and doing the right thing for their customers.
