About The Great Adventure Bundle Causes
Posted by Alan September 8, 2010

It's all for the cause: 25% of the purchase price of every single Great Adventure Bundle 2010 sold goes straight to one or all of the five charitable organizations Telltale, along with our partners have selected. When you purchase a bundle you can choose a specific cause to donate to; if you don't choose any, your donation is spread equally among the five.

That's what you already know though. What you may not know is why there are five beneficiariesin the first place. Each of the organizations that benefits from The Great Adventure Bundle was specifically selected by our partners and ourselves.

Daedelic Entertainment, the Germany-based publisher behind The Whispered World, selected the World Wildlife Fund. The WWF's primary goal is the conservation of nature by promoting sustainable energy, engendering the use of renewable and sustainable resources, and protecting animals of all shapes, sizes, and rarity while making sure that nature can continue to live in harmony with humanity.

Deck13, the team that developed Jack Keane and also German-based, chose Nyota e.V., an organization dedicated to helping chidren in Kenya. Nyota e.V. aims to offer children in Kenya the gift of self-help by offering sponsorships to those in need and assistance in building schools. Since every volunteer pays their own way for everything, the children in Kenya receive 100 percent of the donations made.

Activision, publisher of the King's Quest Collection, picked The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The LLS's goal is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma while making the lives of patients suffering from these diseases and their families more comfortable.

And finally, Telltale Games (that's us), has chosen to include the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child's Play as organizations that benefit from The Great Adventure Bundle. The EFF specializes in fighting for digital rights such as free speech and privacy with the experpise of lawyers, policy analysts, activists, and others; while Child's Playis committed to providing toys and games to a network of over 60 hospitals worldwide.

As you can see, these are all vastly different, but equally important causes that your purchase of The Great Adventure Bundle will help. If you haven't purchased the bundle, go for it! And if you have, you've done your part so spread the word!

Do your part! Buy The Great Adventure Bundle! Or tell all your friends about it!

The end link should probably say "Do your part! Buy The Great Adventure Bundle [b][i]and[i][b] tell all your friends about it!" I highly doubt we'll make it to 5k though... :(

Whoops, forgot to put slashes in the "b" and "i", I wish you could edit your posts here.

Is the deadline 10th of September or 9th of November? I think the American format would be September but that'd be a surprisingly short period of time to buy the bundle... I'm still considering, but I wonder how much time I have left.
