Wallace & Gromit Helps Achieve The Highest Gamerscore In The World
Posted by Alan October 15, 2010

Wow! Congratulations are in order for Xbox Live user Stallion83 as he's reached over 500,000 Gamer Points and continues to hold the Guinness World Record for the highest Gamerscore in the world (he's held it for the past four years)! He broke the very impressive half a million points threshold by unlocking the 20 point 'Tournament of Chumps' Achievement in Telltale's own Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures. The video (below) shows Stallion83 unlocking the final few Achievements until he hits 500,000 right on the money.

The 'Tournament of Chumps' Achievement is unlocked by completing Chapter 3 of Episode 4: The Bogey Man in Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures!

Stallion83 has been adding to his Achievement coffers since 2005 (his Achievement Summary page shows King Kong as the first game he garnered points with) and is working his way to the 1 million Gamerscore mark. He's documented his progress so far on his 1 Million Gamerscore blog where you can get a look at the life of an Achievement nut!

As someone that goes out of my way to get Xbox Live Achievements, often at the cost of enjoying a game, I know just how difficult this feat has been to accomplish. Playing games on higher difficulties, repeating an action thousands of times to do something just right, or playing games that are notorious for being easy to rack up the points with are just a few of the things I'm guilty of in my effort to unlock Achievements. Even then, my 35,555 Gamer Points seem like a drop in the bucket compared to Stallion83's colossal Gamerscore.

Congratulations are definitely in order for Stallion83! Let's hope he hits the cool million Gamerscore with Sam & Max!

Isn't that pretty sad? Needs to play video games all day and doesn't even seem to have fun with them ("It's been one hell of a journey so far")?

I love this man. The name "Stallion83" means that he's either egotistic up to 11, or he loves horses. Either way, I love this man.

So are you treating Wallace and Gromit as an "achievement game" now?

I wouldn't go so far as to say he isn't enjoying them; I think he just gets a different sort of enjoyment out of them than others do. Being a shameless achievement whore myself, I understand the allure: it's similar to trying to attain the high score on a machine at the local arcade. It's just a fun way to add replay value and a bit more of a challenge to the overall gaming experience.

HUGE congrats to Stallion, btw. Halfway there!!!

I don't think this is 'pretty sad'. I mean, just because it's not something you would do doesn't mean it's sad. It just means people have different interests and lifestyles.

Ahhh, I wouldn't want to come across as overly judgemental. Sorry about that! It's just so much time to invest to get where Stallion is right now.

Well done but how are his achievements in the massive multiplayer RPG called "Real Life"?

The problem in that "Reak Life" game is the First person shooter segments while fun are way too short and always end in your avatar being banned or perna-death.

sad sad little or prolly big man

im with paindealer.
I agree its cool he used this game to reach the top or topper.. but
to do this you either must be rich and have no reason to have time needed for anything else(no family nothing)
or you are a 40 year old man living with mom and never married nor been outside in the last 30 years unless it was to get a game (wait nm steam came along)

or he has a wife.. and kids and they hate him... either way..

GOOOD JOB ON THE WORLD RECORD FOR FLAT OUT LAMENESS..

only reason i like this one is, telltales game was used.. but XBOX live achievements are like all achievements online...
fun maybe but
POINTLESS

there is a pun in there
point-less..
its a score joke sigh

It's not sad. He even has a life and a moderately hot blonde girlfriend. It's just something he enjoys doing. He's been working on it a long time- since 2005. I know people who spent 10 hours a day practicing cello; it's the same thing.
