Envelotech: The Future Is Awesome
Posted by Telltale Games April 1, 2011

Ever wanted to be a part of the game? Take a stroll around the Manatee Interior, or loiter in Stinky's Diner? For the first legal time in history, Telltale makes it possible!

Immersive, character-driven gaming is what Telltale is all about, and we are proud to present the very pinnacle of our inventive prowess: Envelotech.

YOU are the star, the main character, the dialogue speaker and the overburdened inventory holder. With no more than a computer webcam and access to the premium Envelotech platform, you can have the full immersive gaming experience you've always wanted!

“Forget Kinect, forget Playstation Eye, we estimate that within the year Envelotech will pave the way as the premiere gesture-based input system” writes Telltale CEO Dan Connors.

More than any adventure gaming peripheral, Envelotech offers far beyond the typical actions like Moving To, Looking At, and Using items. Testers and engineers have noted a dramatic increase in the sensitivity and suggestive reactions of all five senses while playing within the Envelotech platform. When a tester was hospitalized for eating the Fugujolokia pepper, we knew we had created a unique and special experience, and we invite you to participate!

Utilizing state-of-the-art soul-tracking technology, the Envelotech service can be used with any game in the Telltale catalog with fascinating results! Experience the Pox of LeChuck firsthand, or meet up with your favorite characters like Señor Cardgage, Anemone, Biff, and the Hidden People!

Enrich your mind! Watch this video to see what Envelotech has to offer, and prepare to be taken to a whole other place...

Pre-Orders available soon, keep checking our blog for the opportunity to get sucked into your favorite Telltale games!

Watch the Envelotech Announcement Trailer:

Note: Some episodes, including ToMI Chapter 4 and Devil's Playhouse Episodes 3, 4 and 5 will not be made available at the launch of the Envelotech service pending further engineering concerns.  Envelotech participation requires a premium subscription service, connection to the internet, and a soul.

Hi, I participated in the Envelotech beta. I accidentally activated it while editing a power point presentation and suffered severe lateral lacerations to many major organs. How do I get the bloodstains out of my Anthrax hoodie? I need it for an interview.

You could've at least made it look plausible, this story derailed badly around halfway through.

I think you should also probably include TOMI 5 to the list of exclusions.

I tried it out the other day. I got:
* arrested in Sam and Max Season One for underage driving, illegal hacking, murdering a president, and joining an organized crime outfit, but luckily I got time off for snitchy behavior
* sent to hell in Sam and Max Season two, but I got better
* burninated by Trogdor in SBCG4AP, and I have the hideous third-degree burns to prove it
* Cloned in Sam and Max Season Three and forced to undergo unbearable pain
* And killed and tossed about mercilessly in Tales of Monkey Island. I still can't feel my left hand.
So, I wouldn't recommend it for adventure games.

If you really had technology like this, I don't think games would be a top priority for developers *wink wink, nudge nudge*

Seriously, I know this is an April Fool's joke video but it really makes me think Telltale should make Toonstruck 2! They already have Christoper Lloyd for the BTTF games and this video shows that it would be very possible!
