Awesome news with the date of release. I plan to do a marathon by the time the episode comes out. I see the Michael J Fox cameo to represent the passing of the torch thing to AJ. I also didn't realize that he's gonna be voicing two characters. That's pretty awesome news if you ask me.

Here is my prediction for who Marty meets or Michael J Fox voices. This might be a little farfetched but I think that he meets his Great Grandfather William Mcfly or Seamus Mcfly. Although technically if this were the 1931 timeline, William would be 46 so a little too young but I would think it's one of the Mcflys.

I figured out who it is: the nutcase farmer from the first film who tries to shoot Marty McFly after he mutates into human form. I say this because based on his "farmerly" appearance in the preview video, it is the most conceivable individual, and given that they are stranded in the middle of nowhere from Hill Valley, which is technicaly where the Pine Trees farm was in the first film in 1955. I'd be damned if i'm wrong, but we'll see......

I AM SOOOOOO DAMN' HAPPY to know that Michael J. Fox will be a voice actor in this episode! This is an awesome newz!

Now I'm excited! :D

Still, you're sayin' that Peabody could be voiced by MJF...? Get ouuuut!
Even the possibility that the man in the truck is Peabody sounds like bullshit to me.
Don't you recognize the face of Marty? The smile, the eyes, the red cheeks...

If MJF had to voice a character in BTTF : the game, it would obviously be a Mc Fly.

What about 47 years old Marty, if the game makes us go in 2015?
Seamus or William Mc Fly could be possible too, and it would be SO awesome (if it was Seamus) that he recognize Marty like "duuuude, Clint Eastwood, is that you?!? O_O"

But no, I think it's most likely William McFly.

I think this new character, much like Marty McFly in 2015, old Marty returned in time to find himself in 1931, not to but may or may also be the father of her grandfather
We will know in the future

@Arakara You're right, I feel a bit like an idiot now in retrospect considering it would be Peabody. The resemblance is unquestionably made to suggest that this character is some sort of McFly. A further piece of evidence is that the house shown at the start of the video in the sunset in 1931 has a strong resemblance to the McFly farm house in BTTF part III. Still, it's strange how it would be William McFly because he has no resemblance to Arthur McFly and in fact seems to be closer to Arthur's age, thus making it unlikely that he'd be his father. Maybe it's a Baines? Maybe it's something delightfully stranger. 20 more days left to find out....

I wholeheartedly believe that it's William/Will McFly, due to the clues that were dropped.

1. He looks like an older greying Marty. Remember, Michael J. Fox played Will through the old photos found a the library in 1955, "...That's him. Good looking guy".
2. From what little dialog the video has provided, he has no ascent that corresponds to his linage's native country. So that would rule out Seamus.
3. His line of, "Hey, what's that", seems to be directed to the DeLorean. So that would rule out any future Marty incarnation.
4. It is said that Marty has met him before. Of course, Marty came face-to-face with Will as an infant in 1885, "...and you peed on me". Plus the only historical Baines that Marty has ran into in the past was the cluster (including his mother) in 1955. Neither of these would be this guy, as they have no resemblance to Marty and they were not greying, IE showing their age. Plus seeing as this is 1931, they would be way too young.

there in the 1930's, martys grampa is probably in his 20s so martys grampas dad would be in around his 60s so martys great grampa Willem mcfly would be a baby in the 1880s and marty did meet him in the third movie

Considering this clip from the game takes place in the past, I'm willing to bet this character we meet is Seamus McFly's son William, since this is the only other McFly he's actually had face-time with in the entire trilogy. And everyone above me who guessed this is right on the money. As for the other character he plays, I foresee four possibilities: 1. Old/Middle-Aged Marty in the future, 2. Marty's son Marty Jr., 3. Marlene McFly (I will admit the last two are a bit far-fetched, but the idea that Tell Tale managed to pull off a BTTF game that doesn't suck was considered to be too.) and 4. With this whole new BTTF universe creation, Michael J. Fox is most likely playing a new McFly character altogether. I gotta admit, Tell Tale has had me guessing the entire time I've been playing the games, and it's likely that will continue to this final BTTF moment when I complete the season!

Just got a crazy idea...
I completely agree with all of you guys, he's probably William McFly.
But... take a look at the wooden house, at about 35-39 seconds from the beginning of the video.
As the camera goes down, right at the bottom of the house, down left of the STOP sign... there's a sign with PALACE SALOON written on it...
I know he totally looks like Marty but... what if he is JOEY, Chester's helper? (since Chester would just be too old in 1931). I hope I'm wrong, it's just a crazy idea after all, and I definitely want him to be William McFly.
Comment by Freddie

(P.S. To see the sign properly you need to switch to 1080p in the settings... The sign is leaning right against the bottom of the house)

@ Freddie : Or maybe it's just that William McFly took the logo of the Palace Saloon to his home before the Palace Saloon was destroyed, as a memory of it.

REMEMBER : Michael J Fox has to play a role that fits him : an old Marty-like guy.

WHY ON EARTH would he play Joey, Chester's helper?!

As he plays 2 roles in Episode 5, it's obviously :
• 47 years old Marty
• William McFly (who should be 46 years old too, in 1931, because : 1931-1885 = 46)

I suppose Telltale wants old Marty and William to be a lot of the same (maybe for realisation purpose), so bing : almost the same age!

---

On the other hand, it can't be Seamus McFly. Why? Simple.

Look at the picture of him from BTTF 3!

Seamus McFly has a beard.

Based on a bit of conjecture and assumptions, and a bit of fact:

- William was born in/around 1885 (baby Will in Part 3)
- Arthur/Artie is in his early 20s in 1931
- George is born in 1938
- Marty is born in 1968

There are 46 years between 1885 and 1931, and for simplicity sake, i'm gonna say that Arthur/Artie is 23 years old (half of his father's age). To that end, I believe one (1) of the characters played by Michael J Fox will be William Sean McFly in 1931 (age 46/47), and possibly his future self of Marty (age 47).

The concept art depicted for episode 5, clearly shows what appears to be a futuristic (2015-style) living room, so it's a safe bet that we'll get to see 2015 at some point in episode 5.
Comment by darkthunder

@ Darkthunder : said that 4 messages up, except for the living-room thing (I tried to say that, but the blog bugged on pressing "Post comment!".

So, for the living room thing, I wasn't sure, I think it could also be a design for 1986. I reminds me of the 70's, with those chairs. Nothing really futuristic here. If there was the diaporama-windows or the mobile fruit basket on the ceiling, I could have been agree immediatly.
But maybe this is 2015 design, who knows?

For the idea of William McFly in the future, in 1986, he would be 101 years old, so no dice!
47 years old Marty is most likely the other character, because William and him will have almost the same morphology : the work is made easier!
I'm so sure of what I'm saying, because it's sooo obvious...

...

And here I am, repeating myself ^^...
No but seriously, my question here is no more "what characters MJF will play?", but "HOW the f**k do they come in the episode 5?!"

Does Alternate-Doc is responsible for a 47 years old Marty having something to do in this story?

Fox, the actor that played the legendary role of Marty McFly in the Back to the Future films, voices two characters in Episode 5 - OUTATIME but we're only spilling the beans on one of them before the game launches later this month. You're searching too far, dude.

Don't try to proove that the first character is William, try to proove that it can't be anyone else.

• He is a McFly.
• If it was in a movie, Michael J Fox could play as him, so he has the same morphology than Marty.
• In 1931, he's not young, something between 40 and 55 years old or so.
• Marty met him in the third movie.

There is nobody else.

It's got to be William McFly and an older Marty (perhaps the 2015 version will make a comeback, as he would be nearly the same age as Michael J. Fox is now); plus that clip of the futuristic living room? I'd be dead surprised if the 'other character' isn't an older Marty McFly. :)

Everyone here seems to think inside the box too much! This is BTTF! Look at the possibilities...

-We have an angry genius with the keys to a time machine.
-We have so far met 6 generations of McFly's.
-We have an unhappy woman who wants all 'hooligans' eliminated.
Presuming everybody's still alive, this new person could be William, or an old Marty, or maybe a secret McFly cousin. Telltale will probably look at these replies and think "Let's give them something they won't expect!" For paradoxes to be avoided, there ought to be some sizable paradoxes in the first place, so maybe another McFly finds the machine? Maybe Marty in 2015 decides to go back in time and save himself disappearing? Are Doc's children going to appear?

I've said this before, but I seriously think it's Marty McFly junior. Mostly for the way they acted in the preview.
- I don't know if you guys noticed but in one of the previews Marty sounds SCARED when he asks "Did we just leave hill valley?". If he were in the Old West or the 30s he should be used to it by now.
- Doc/FCB is apologizing to him, why? He only does that when he messes up big time or when he can't do anything about something (this could be due to the broken Delorean though)
- The STOP sign in the house means it has to be after 1915, when they were first made, and the way it looks so old and rusted means its been quite a while
- Also, there is a plastic bottle in the house too. If I'm correct those were made in 1947 but didn't catch on until the late 60s/early 70s, so there's that. (But again, my knowlege of everyday thing history is limited so i could be wrong)

We've had an alternate future and present. Could this be an alternate past? I do know this is crazy, but could Citizen Brown have messed up the past, thereby allowing Doc Brown to return into existence from nothing? If so, how? Could he have severely altered one of the main families (McFly, Tannen, Strickland)? Am I asking too many questions?
If this is middle-aged Marty (despite the accent), maybe he's going to help them, or, as I've said, maybe he came back/forward in time to stop himself disappearing. But it might cause irreversible damage to the universe if Marty met... Marty.
Back to MJ Fox. Does he have to voice a McFly? I can hear most of you say yes. What if this character is only in one scene and the other character only has one line? Then he might not.
Anyway, I cannot think of any more theories right now.
