I was hoping for a release on episode 2

I felt like if Doug had a bit more backstory it would've been a tougher decision to save him or Carley.

I was gonna pick Carley from Jump anyway...she is Hot!! Plus, She was a WHOLE hell of a lot more helpful than Dougs goofy butt!!

I heard episode 2 is coming out on June 6th i think? Is that right or is everyone still guessing?

Seriously. Only reason I saved Carley was because she was a great shooter. Improved chance of survival. From what I understood, Doug wasnt any good at firing guns.

And regarding that gun I gave to that woman who was bitten. I have seen the comix and the tv show and I cant think of a more painfull way to die, then from a zombie bite. In letting her have the gun, I saved her from a horrible death.

In coming episodes, I wonder if we are going to see people we didnt save turn up as zombies. Like a reminder of what our choices actually did. And to not get a lot of unknown zombies that you dont know anything about.

Carley saved your life once already. Thats how I made my choice.

I knew I was going to save doug right away. He reprogrammed the friggin' remote from memory. Carley couldn't even put batteries in a radio. I figure there is going to be a shortage of tech savvy survivors; better to have one on my side.

Aww, when it comes to technological skills, it won't help much if you're not lucky enough to get any power somewhere. Maybe I wouldn't be one of the survivors if I was put in the situation. Well, I might since I could say that I have a very good aim. At least with objects that are not guns, witch could be useful in the long run consider that it would draw much less attention. If something like this would happen for real, I guess I would take a sword and a knife with me. Then I could kill zombies quietly without drawing in a bunch of them. And no, I'm not taking the idea from Michonne. I had a sword and a pretty neat knife before I started to read the comix.

Ussually no electricty. Better chance of finding guns (found off dead owners or where they died/placed stash).

One is a reporte/knows who you are. The other was a shut in.

Even if gender was reversed I would still pick Carlie instead of Doug. Best part is that if she trusts you she might (hopefully) be on your side if the others find out you were criminal later on in the game. Also she understands if you save her instead of Doug who complains/blames you for saving them. (Old man you are next on my list if I can help it!)

i saved the girl also, she is good with a gun so that is handy. I'd love to put down the old man tho, or get the chance to punch him in the face during a zombie raid so he can get eaten.

I know there trying to make people want the next episode more by waiting a month between episodes,but they either need to make the next episodes longer or release them quicker,because I beat episode 1 in two days and have played through all possible choices and I have been waiting a while for the next episode!

Are you kidding me, Carley took out several zombies all with crack shots and one bullet a piece.
While Doug seemed much less of an asset to protecting the group as a whole. I have to admit my focus on protecting either the boy or Hershel's son on the tractor was made when Lee mentioned that boat.

I let Doug die. Maybe once all of the episodes are out, I'll go back and rethink that decision. I know the woman knows who Lee is, and maybe it's a guy thing, but I saved her. There was some deep thought in that three seconds though. She's a great shot with that handgun. On the other hand, Doug has done some heroic stuff and is apparently good at some things that could be handy down the road. Then there's the thing where she knows what Lee did. I'm far too trusting and I'll probably end up being lynched or exiled by the group for it later.
So... Any word on release of episode two?

my quick decision to save carlie over doug was based from the the knowledge that she knew how to use the gun already. lol

F18Killer, most of time game releases happen on a Tuesday, more likely those weeks are correct but probably the Tuesday of the week you are guessing.

when will the game be released and how will it work if you have to download a new epesode 2 game and the old episode 1 will be left. The new episode will not now your information from the old episode because it will be separate they should have take outthe whole game to play and dont months to play only 2 hours game. what do you people say.

Doug is a good guy, hes brave- as you can find out by talking to Carley, and when he accompanies you to your brother. He is the better choice in the long run

Telltale games im very dissapointed in your company. It would proably run beter if you had monkeys doing the job. I personally will not purchase anything else you make and the only reason I play this one is because I bought all episodes allready.
#1 You promise a release every month/ its been more than a month
#2 You dont care enough to you suppoters to even shoot a release date
#3 Your last update on ur homepage was ages ago
#4 Waiting a month for a 2 hour game is ridicolous
#5 Waiting a month makes it diffucult to remember choices and descesions I made. Its not that great of a game to store useless info for a month in my brain.

Episode 2 is taking waaaay too long to be released. Are there any other cool games out from other companies? Preferably a game that takes longer than 2hr to complete.

As much as i would like to kill that old jerk something tells me that in any of the later episodes hes gonna end up doing something that will make us all either feel bad for him (or make us hate im even more)

After watching this video, I figured most people complaining about release dates would understand both why there wasn't a definitive date and why it's been taking a while. The future episodes are being written considering information gathered about our choices in the previous episodes. It would take a couple of weeks just to have a decent enough amount of players making the choices to give a good perspective on how people are reacting, and to allow the writers time to begin considering ways to throw people off and surprise them based on the choices that are made. In other words, the extra time taken assures that is going to be a more suspenseful, surprising, and satisfying experience.
Too many times in recent years, and a few mmos especially come to mind, games have been rushed out feeling like they hadn't been polished and some fetaures even finished. I am glad these guys are actually taking their time making sure they make this game quite a trip. it's nice for a change.
By the time the rest of the episodes are out, I plan after finishing my first trip through, to take a second , and probably even a third trip through to try out different choices with events and to see where they lead. I don't even finish most games any more, and when I do , rarely set aside the time to go back through even short ones. That means a game is good when I plan to go back through it again. It will be good because they are taking their time to make it good, and to tailor it partially to the choices we make along the way, which is awesome.
And to the guy who complained about length, I generally beat the first 2 fable games in roughly ten hours so, give or take an hour. they were still one hell of a trip though, i'd wished they were longer, but they were great games nonetheless. force unleashed 2 on the other hand...

Great job on the game so far guys. I love how you slip in some characters we know from the comics. I'll buy each episode on day one, even if day one is two months away. Please don't rush the game's release because of people whining. Take your time and make sure episode two is as good as episode one. :]

Idk I felt as if doug was dumb. I saved carly's life, she knows my secret and so does that asshole. Maybe if that asshole brings it up Carly can back me up and claim it isn't true?? Plus yeah I was thinking about the gun because if it comes to a life and death moment, a gun might be the answer. Still you bring out great points, this is why I am g oing to make two stories :D

In response to Arawanach... I can see where you're coming from. Doug is obviously very tech savy but I'm not so sure that he'd know at all what he was doing with a vehicle. Kenny on the other hand, I would assume, could help in that aspect. Ultimately, my decision to save Carley was based on, but not limited to, the fact that she came off as some one I could trust when it comes down to it. For example... I choked up when it came to saving the little girl when the zombie came out of the restroom but Carley had my back. One shot, instant kill. After being knocked senseless by the old man, I feel even more confident in my decision to save Carley. Trust is obviously something that is hard to come by in a "zombie" apocalypse. Of course, if given the choice, I would have tried saving them both.

I'm excited for the second episode to make its debut. I hope that Tell Tale doesn't make me wait nearly two months between episodes like in Back To The Future. Either way, keep up the great work guys. This is your best game yet.

Besides, if you notice, doug is staring at carley the entire time she is being attacked by the zombie, he WANTED you to save carley, not him.

Ok, i am sharing my doug vs carley situation. i did two playtrhoughs and choose carley in each one. doug was cool but when he said he would miss me i told him to shut up lol. then carley did her try to say goodbye. but i chose a gun over him mainly cause i doubt i can equip a gun in this game, and i am going with the one who can carry one plus will have my back against the douchebag father of that one lady.

A lot of people should of picked Carley over Doug because of the Gun, Not because of the looks, Going with the Gun would be wiser because if you didn't have a gun, Then in some operations you could be screwed. Because if you take Doug and Carley and use them as a Weapon, If you went with Doug you would have just Doug, Mainly just Fist. If you go with carley, You have a Gun and A Fist. So no one should really of made the option "Save Carley Or Doug" Because Doug would of lost in the end. It should of been Carley or Ken's Wife. Getting Ken's wife would of had more of a Choice because you could complete lose Ken. One of your companions. Another thing would of been, Everyone went with Carley because of her having the 3rd story line on there, Because she was more open, Doug didn't. He just said a couple lines then he left. Replacing Doug or adding on to Doug would of been Wiser for Telltale. Having more of a harder decision would of been Better.

I'm getting a little impatient with the release of Ep. 2 but remember they are making it so your choices effect every other aspect off the game so unless you guys want another ME3 riot calm down about te Wp. 2 release date

I'm a very patient person, but I honestly thought episode 2 would be out by now. It would be nice if we the people who have paid for the game either the first episode or the season pass like I have, could get some sort of response about why the game isn't out yet or when we should expect it to be released.

Yeah, it seems like we'll all be waiting longer than expected. I just wish they would tell us something...I'm looking forward to episode 2 very much and wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer if I actually knew when the second part will be released. Not knowing stinks...

From what I've seen from the first episode (couple of YouTube play-throughs), I like it. At first I thought it would come out on iOS at the same time, but I guess that'll take a while. Anyhow, if not iOS version then computer version. As for the release dates, I can only find them on forums which I just interpret as rumours. Telltale, take your time and release good episodes. I'll start playing the game in a month or so (uni studies, misc. studies, work, etc.)

Not to sound impatient but i struggle to understand how a game adverised as having monthly episodes is not released in may if the first episode was released in april. Does this mean that episode 2 and 3 will be released in June? It's the may 31st and still no episode 2. Back to the future had an excuse when psn was hacked last year. This time round it seems teltale games were just disorganised. They have not been professional here. I'm dissapointed and I don't think I will buy another episodic title. I'll stick to disc copy games from here on out. It;s a shame really because The walking dead is a really good game as was the idea to release it monthly. Oh well! Live and learn.

I saved Doug because I was mad that reporter lady mentioned he was cute and here I am helping everyone, plus the reporter lady knew about the main guy killing his wife apparently, probably didn't matter but Doug saved her too, so I went ahead and saved Doug.

From this article they mention that they're preparing for the release of the second episode leading into E3 which starts on June 5th so maybe that's what they meant. That it will be released on June 5th. I'm hopeful it will be very soon.

you know, i can appreciate a company doing their best to make great quality game, but what i don't appreciate is a company who doesn't have the professional courtesy of integrity granted it's customers and fans. for those who who handicap this professional courtesy by stating that a company should deliver false promises to it's customers, maybe you should stop living with mommy and learn what it means to pay some bills. would you like to pay for your electricity now but have to wait for TIL WHENEVER you electric company DECIDED to give you power? or your internet to do the same in turn? of course not you wouldn't. some of us have paid in advance for this game based on a given word of a given release timeline. when i pay for a service of any kind i expect that service, give me liberty or give me death, release EP2 or refund my purchase. I saved Carley because she can shoot, she saved me before, she has the ability to calm down Larry, and she probably knows a lot about the outbreak as a reporter. Doug really didn't have anything going for him other than being a nice guy. he didn't have much connection to the group other than Carley, who would have died if I hadn't saved her, and his knowledge of tech stuff wouldn't come in handy because the power will eventually go out.

I played both saving Doug and Carly. At first I didn't realize that Carly didn't have any bullets left so I figured saving Doug would be the best route since Carly had proven her ability to take care of her self and had the advantage of a weapon. I then saved Carly and I'm going to stick with that path. It would be good if in some of these cases that they left the ability to save both under conditions of perfect execution but the idea that you have hard choices does make the game much better. I like this style of game in general. It reminds me of the old Sierra Online games to some extent.

When is walking dead episode 2 coming out?

Lets release episode 2 and then work on part 3, 4, 5.
Your release strategy is not funny. We all had spend some money for this game and it is our right to get the next episode. I read some critical noise about this kind of release strategy "pay now and get later" and think is no problem. But your waiting strategy is really a problem, you have take the money of the people and dont give some stuff.

Please stick to the rules of fair play.

If Doug wasn't always wanting you to go outside all of the time, I probably would've saved him. He seemed reckless and unprepared/knowledgeable. Hey, zombie apocalypse...wanna go outside?

When I saved Carly, I just felt like she had already gotten kind of close-ish to Lee in the fact that she "trusts" him enough not to tell everyone his secret, and he trusts that she wont.

Not to mention, Lee acknowledged once already how handy she is with a gun. If it were really Lee making the decision, I have a feeling he'd save her, too. She's too valuable to lose in a zombie apocalypse.

I saved Doug because I thought he was like me, I also spend alot of my time (most of my time) on a laptop. But I alos thought Doug was the character least likely to survive, I thought that if he hadn't met the group he probably wouldn't have had a chance at survival. I didn't like Carly anyway. When Glen wanted to save the lady at the motor inn, Carly showed that she would rather save her own skin that save somebody else, that told me how selfish she realy was, I realised that if Lee were in trouble, shed just leave him and save herself.

Yeah I have just lost interest in this game now deleted it from my hard drive as I worked out, the way the schedule is going it will be at least 20 weeks before I can finish it so yeah what a waste of cash.

at this rate i'll have grandkids before the next one is out let alone the other ones. i loved the game played it to many times lol but now following your own deadline this badly only on the second installement. i think i'll forget about it move on to something better and if when my not yet born grandson is raising HIS grandchildren maybe just maybe i'll look and see that episode 2 is done just waiting on the third. Add me to the list of pissed off customers who feel ripped off, we were led to believe an episode a month. Telltale you suck, get off your ass and at least comment on a possible release date. Umm...people have the right to be upset. Be it a little or a lot. It should have been out by now. If you were at a restaurant and ordered a delicious hot meal and it was served to you cold and sloppy, would you pay for it? Probably not. The problem here is that for us who have purchased the season pass is that they already have all of our money. We all went into this going by what we were told. That one episode would be released near or at the end of each month.

I said it once and I'll say it again. If Telltale would at the very least say something about the delay I'm sure most if not all of the gamers would feel less annoyed, but they haven't said anything. That's the problem. The game is great btw, I really enjoy it as I'm sure everyone posting here does. Telltale, tell us something. There are some who are very upset way more than others, but hey, oh well, they have the right to be. When they still don't have episode 2 when it's now June 4.

i actually regret sinking my money into this game. i payed for the season pass but if this company is going to show unprofessionalism in this manner, then i regret investing in their product all together. This will be the last purchase i ever make from this company unless there are some changes made in how this company handles business.

And this is why I didn't buy the season pass and decided to buy each part when it actually DOES come out..

Another thing telltale should stop doing is bragging how much ep 1 sold when the fact that people thought they would have all 5 eps in a timely manner is part of the reason for the great sales. My opinion they should offer refunds to all the people who bought the season pass. At least for the 4 missing episodes they paid for.

You can give me all the scenarios you want, famousanus, but I feel they will just pale in comparison to the plight of my 10 year old niece who was ripped away from her home and has to live hundreds of miles away from all her loving friends and family because she has to have dialysis 3 times a week to continue living. She needs a kidney to save her life. Because of a blood transfusion she received at a very young age, complications from anti-bodies and such make it extremely difficult to find a match for a new kidney. She's amazing because her outstanding outlook on life is the voice of reason for her frustrated family because we can't get an accurate timeline on when she can get a new kidney so she can go home instead of struggling to get by in such a big city. Your petty little ramblings seem very superfluous and selfish. I'm sorry that you can't understand and that waiting for a video game seems to be the most important thing in your life right now. But I forgive you and pray you get your video game or refund very soon. It seems like its ruining your life enough to make me question your upbringing, but I can't account for that. Well, it doesn't matter if now they're saying that it should be out by the end of the month, because that's sure isn't what they said upon release. It actually SHOULD have been out at the end of LAST month according to the following quote:

"Episode 1 is available immediately upon purchasing the full season with the remaining episodes being delivered monthly thereafter."

I'm not mad that I have 2 months for an episode that takes a couple of days to play through (even though many people are and justifiably so), I'm just disappointed that I was told it would be out in half that time only to learn that it is not really the case.

I can understand a few days' delay, but a month? Give me a break.

I wasn't looking for support. But we do advocate awareness for all people. I also see a lot of things going on in these forums that have no place. Obscenity filled rage sessions aren't going to get the ball rolling any faster. I believe a lot of people don't realize that when paying money for downloaded content that they are not purchasing ownership of the title, merely a license to have the product in their possession. In order to own, they would have to wait until after all episodes are completed and transitioned to a disc format. People can handle their dissatisfaction in a much better manner. Throwing fits and having tantrums doesn't fix things. It only makes things worse.

The first time I played I did nothing and both Doug and Carley died lol then I went for Carley. I don't know why. It was a panicked and hasty decision. Truth be told. I'd rather have Doug. The release date I saw weeks ago simply said "June" so that could easily mean the end of June or it could be next week. Monthly can have a period of 45 days or more.

Where are these actual release dates at that you're talking about? From what I gather, the first episode came out at the end of April. So close to may that technically can be considered May's release. The releases were said to be mOnthly. No actual release dates. The only actual quoted release date I saw for episode 2 was "June" so far I have seen no lies from the company. Actually I live hUndreds of miles away from my family in my hometown, which at the time when I moved away was the poorest county in the united states so I have a higher appreciation for having multiple jobs and making my own money to support a household. When I did live there there was a 95% unemployment rate and I still had a job. So I think your assumptions fell off your foot when it was in your mouth.

In fact....the only family I have around here is across the state line and that's my niece I was talking about. Luckily, I was already living close by when they were forced to move here. I saved Carley because in my opinion, someone who can shoot like that is more helpful to me than a computer/electronics wizard. No electricity, no electronic equipment. End of June kinda sucks. I agree TT should of done a better job at keeping fans updated, but the wait will be worth it. The finished product has been submitted to Sony and Microsoft. The further delay is for them to market the game as well as other PR campaigns such as submissions to the various reviewers. No one should worry it's almost here.

The Walking Dead Comic Book series, really does an excellent job, at bringing the readers into a dangerous world of the zombie apocalypse. And once again I was amazed with A new day. You let us play a Walking Dead Comic. I liked all the charecters and the choices us players had to make really set the mood. And more I hear about Ep2, I believe it will not live up to first Episode, but out past it, the story will be darker, more serious. I look forward to playing the next episode and thank you.. for a fun interactive game, and what i'll call a DAMN good, fun unfolding story.

Perhaps it is time we give Telltellgames an ultimatum. Refund us back our money, or release episode 2. It's been over 2 weeks since the time line they gave us for the releasing of episode 2. We payed for a service, they should render it. They can at least give us an update, or if there is some buggs they need to fix, then let us know. Telltale said that it was do to certification process with Xbox Live this being the reason for the delay. However it took them a little over a month to say that and they sould have at lest posted it on the games homepage, But they did say why beleave it or don't , from the forms I've looked over most don't others say that they sould have launched it for the platforms it could run on, whats your take ?

I think I should have waited to play the game until it was finnished. Else I might end up forgetting all the choices I made in the first place. It's what I often do with tv shows. Save up some episodes and I can watch new episodes as often as I like. Of course, I do have other games to play, but that wouldn't make me remember my choices and how I played the first game.

Actually... I think that choosing between two person is making a choice that would be more true to the series at this point. Choosing between letting one person live or just let that person die is a choice that I just think is too soon for this game. Allowing dark choices to be made would require the story to build up the desperation and the survival of the fittest rule.

So I think that with Larry, we won't get to choose between him and another person because it could be considered such an easy choice. Or that might depend if you supported him or Kenny.
If given the choice, I think many people would choose another person over Larry easily consider that he is already someone people dislike. However, what if people were given the choice not him or someone else, but the choice to get him killed or not. That would be an entirely different kind of choice.

Telltale you really srewed this up. If you are going to realease your games later, I can understand it. But you didn´t tell us anything. Why? At least how long it will take? Or are you going to release two episodes at once?

Was just at The Walking Dead the game Wikipedia. They say Episode 2 is to be released today or the 23rd of June. But Wikipedia is known for putting crap that ain't entirely confirmed. But the acctual wiki is saying the 26th. Telltale in interviews simply say the end of june which could mean the very last day of June. I really want to play episode 2. But the lack of a launch trailer, or throphy or achievement list, or the lack of gameplay vids on youtube(That episode 1 had a month or longer before it release) is making me uncomfy. I try not to complain. I understand there trying to make things right, and cause its a tailored game and has diffrent conclusions to the story by the choices us players make, its giving Telltale diffculties. BUT! An esimated REAL release date would be preciated. I know Telltale might not even check these blogs. But in off chance they do.. Please again estimated date for release... Not given cause you don;t fully know and not saying... but because your fans here, are wanting one, and it would only be fair to give it.

One more reason why us fans need at least an estimated release date, Already in this blog, we have had people claiming they downloaded or are in process of downloadng Episode 2, which appears to be a lie, taunting people who are checking regulary for a proper date. People who are trying to support this game series are checking daily for a date and not seeing it. They are getting discouraged with lack of information. I own the Jurassic Park game and thought it was great as a playable movie and I even have played the Back to the future the game, But i'm a huge fan of the walking dead, when I heard you at Telltale were making it, I though all along you guys would make a good game, and so far you have Episode 1 was really a great game and i'm deeply looking forward to experiencing episode 2. But please if anyone at Telltale reads this... take it to heart and give your fans at least an idea of when.

my only question is this, lets say EP.2 gets released june 23, are we to believe that now EP.3 will be available on July, 23? or will there be a two month wait for it as well, and if they keep up with this trend (1 episode every 2 months) the 5 part series won't be complete until FEBRUARY 23rd. Now im no expert but a 10 month wait for a 10 hour game (assuming every episode lasts that 2 hours) is not good for business. I think of it this way, it costs WAY more money to film a tv series and with the walking dead tv show we're promised 1 episode weekly at 42 minutes apiece, for a span (this season) of 16 episodes. so in a 4 month period the show delivers us 42x16(minutes in each episode times total run time of the show 16 weeks which means 16 episodes) 672 minutes of show time roughly 11 and a half hours of viewing pleasure and we only have to wait 16 weeks for the full thing or a week per episode. where as with this game SO FAR we have waited 1 month 2 weeks and 4 days and all we have to show for it it 2 hours of gameplay, and assuming EP.2 comes out june 23rd, we are actually waiting 2 months for a total of 4 hours of gameplay(total time of EP 1 and EP 2 combined). somebody needs to get there priorities straight and get this game figured out becuase IMO most people will lose interest after about 6 months of waiting, yes they may go back and play it eventually after its finished but the hype will all but have died down, not a very good business move if you want to make money

If you read them contracts that are wiht every game but I bet you just click on accepted, you would know that they have no said set time frame of relese. But then again if you was smart enuff to do that you would see that even if you could sue TTG for $24.99 you would be in the hole by a min of $300.00 even if you did win. But please for the love of God don't let me deter your rants as I would never inhibit ones right to bicth and complain about your gameing discontents. As it brings me alot of joy to read some of the posts on this forums , even though some of them seem to suck the IQ right from ones head.
Don't think this is pointed at nor towards all of you that rant , as most of you use common sense. However if your one of the 5% that dose think this was ment for you then most likely you're right.

I've been signed up to receive the news letter for around 4 to 5 months and have got nothing that has anything to do with when Ep2 will be coming out nor why it was late. I was however at E3 I think I put a post up on this form about what I seen and read will there, not that it was much but its more then you get from TTG PR's.

Der Entwickler Telltale Games gibt bekannt, dass die zweite Episode des Walking-Dead-Adventures noch im Juni erscheinen soll.

Ursprünglich sollten die fünf Episoden des Walking Dead -Adventures im Monats-Rhythmus veröffentlicht werden. Nun ließen sich die Kalifornier von Telltale Games für Episode 2 doch etwas mehr Zeit. The Walking Dead - Episode 2: Starved for Help erscheint nach Herstellerangaben Ende Juni, knapp zwei Monate nach dem Release von Episode 1.

Als Grund für die Verschiebung gibt Telltale Games eine Verzögerung im Zertifizierungsprozess der PlayStation 3- und Xbox 360-Versionen des Spiels an.

Starved for Help, die zweite Episode des Adventures, spielt drei Monate nach dem Ende von Episode 1. Laut Telltale soll Teil zwei brutaler werden. Besonders die Nahrungsbeschaffung erweise sich als großes Problem für die Überlebenden.

I have to admit that I am a little disappointed to have to wait so long for episode 2, as I'm very eager to continue the game, but to be honest, I'd much rather wait a few extra weeks for a good game than for Telltale to rush to meet their original deadline and give us a half-assed product. You know what happened LAST TIME a story-oriented, choice-driven game was rushed to be completed? Mass Effect 3, that's what. So take your time, Telltale, but next time, do yourselves a favor and set a more reachable deadline.
