October is upon us so you know what that means. It's time for the Telltale Sort-of Halloween contest!
Looking through entries in Halloween contests past, I am astonished by the awesome artistic skill of fans and look forward to seeing what you guys come up with this year. Now that we've added Puzzle Agent, Back to the Future, and Jurassic Park to our repertoire, the creative possibilities for what you can do are seemingly endless.
Enough of my blabbering - on to the contest details.
Last week I announced a new Photoshop contest centered around Poker Night at the Inventory. This week I'm announcing the winners of that contest.
In my blog last week, I challenged our community to visualize the characters from our upcoming Poker Night at the Inventory performing activities just as unexpected as their 'guys night in' playing poker with five winners walking away with Puzzle Agent and Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse added to their accounts! The Telltale community did not disappoint, and we received some outstanding entries in the contest entry forum thread (head over to the thread to get a look at all the entries). While every entry was awesome, we had one entry that blew me away (Serec's Telltale Kart at the Inventory; pictured above) so to level the playing field I made that one a winner outside of the other five.
The full season of Tales of Monkey Island is only $4.95 - now until early Monday, September 20 (Pacific Time)!
In honor of this weekend's International Talk Like a Pirate Day festivities we've reduced the price on everybody's favorite pirate themed adventure game by 30 doubloons and also cut you in on the free Collector's DVD deal (you just pay shipping and handling) so that you can Play Like a Pirate. There's more Tales of Monkey Island booty to be had in our store including the Tales of Monkey Island: Deluxe Edition set (complete with cloth map), Drinking Vessel, and Voodoo Card set.
It's been a little over week now since PAX 2010 ended and while going through the pictures taken of the DeLorean we had on display at the expo it dawned on me - I need to combine two of my loves, bad Photoshops and good cosplay for the greater benefit of humanity.
It's been a while since I've done a bad, amateurish Photoshop, and I'd forgotten how long they can take but we have a plethora of photos of cosplayers from PAX posing with the DeLorean, so I had to pick some favorites to get my feet wet again.
I've decided to start out with some video game based cosplayers and here they are, in no particular order. If anybody knows who these wonderful cosplayers are, please let me know in the comments so that I can attribute them accordingly!
First we have Captain Falcon from Nintendo's F-Zero series. He comes from the future with a new racer, ready to take Mute City by storm!
