Wednesday! Celebrate!
Posted by Nikki H April 14, 2010

If we took a holiday... we'd need a reason, wouldn't we? Yesterday, we asked Telltale fans (that's you, so pay attention) to create a holiday for President Max to make official. Here are some of the causes that we can totally stand behind:

Sticky Note Awareness Day
Nicmanahan

National "Get Out of My Dreams, Get Hit by a Car" Day
FreeJet

Pranksgiving, a lot like Thanksgiving except with a lot more things popping out of the cranberry sauce jars.
Threepwood42

Happy haiku day
WalkerTR77

National keyboard cleaning day. A day you don't have to take off.
Overmann

AAAAD (Alliterative Acronym Abuse Awareness Day)
mattj375

Run your shorts up the Flagpole and See if Anyone Salutes It Day
Wayne Au

These winners will get a free Telltale episode to bide their time while the bill works its way through Congress. Cross your fingers for National Keyboard Cleaning Day.

Speaking of winners...
Our Ready, Set, Art! contest came to a resounding finish with some awesome logos! Glenfx, Klatuu and StonkBad made lovely submissions and in turn will be receiving a little somethin' from our store! TheHighway, Jeeno0142 and Fealiks had some great looking runner-up images, so you'll be seeing all of these making our Telltale Tuesdays prettier in blogs to come.

Not to be self flattering, but our very own artist Majus has put together a new video for The Devil's Playhouse... If you haven't looked, you really should.

...The Penal Zone becomes available for PC, Mac and PS3 tomorrow. Are you pumped? We are PUMPED!

We say Telltale, you say Tuesday!

Join up and party down, it's...

TELLTALE TUESDAY! by Klatuu

With so many Monday holidays, there just isn't enough reason to celebrate on a Tuesday, is there?
Thanks to the Max-ist Regime, that's about to change. From a people's vote, let's pool our creativity:

Suggest a new holiday to President Max!

Does it have to be a Tuesday? No, it can be for anything, especially if it looks good on a fully-mobile sticky note. If you're really inventive, you get a free Telltale episode and possibly your own wikipedia article for being the creator of a much-loved holiday. Pitch the ideas on our Facebook, Twitter and in the comments here, and submissions are only accepted until noon tomorrow PST (that's 8pm GMT on Wednesday, April 14th) so try to get the public rallying behind your holiday right now!

Speaking of something to celebrate... you may notice the header is made by our own community member, Klatuu! That's the first winner you'll be seeing for the Telltale Tuesday logos, so keep your eyes peeled for new and different ones in upcoming weeks.

Wind-Down Wednesday
Posted by Nikki H April 7, 2010

Okay, OKAY, I'll pick up all my toys now. Yesterday you guys littered our blog comments and Facebook with delightful magic toy ideas, but the blog wasn't big enough for all of them. These are the ones we played with the most:

A potato head with the power of the ultimate disguise!
ChrisOdaWas

Toys that turn you and themselves invisible when your mother tells you to pick up your toys.
mathman77

One of those 90's LCD Wristwatch games that allows the wearer to repeate the last hour until it benefits them.
Zeek

A Simon game that makes people copy whatever I do
portapotty

A "Get out of Jail Free" card from Monopoly that allows you to escape any imprisonment for free!
Stephen Fitch

A toy car with the power to generate full-sized clowns out of the passenger side door.
Darrin Cavalier

A toy light bulb that you put over your head to get an idea...
Matej Sudarić

A Tonka truck with the power to haul away and recycle all the time I am wasting.
and
A water gun with the power to shoot milkshakes up an opponents' nose during a deadly game of brain-freeze tag.
Charles Terrell

Actually, those are so cool, I'm just gonna keep playing with them instead of cleaning at all! Also, turning invisible. (Take THAT, Mom!)

These fine inventors get a free Telltale episode for their ideas, and a cut of the profit when we actually figure out how to recycle wasted time. Don't hold your breath, though, we're pretty busy making video games.

Telltale Tuesday Toy-day
Posted by Nikki H April 6, 2010

Immovable like an empty toy chest you use to clean up your room, it's...

TELLTALE TUESDAY!

...Don't you just wanna play with toys all day? I say we give up on Tuesday altogether and build Lego castles until it's Wednesday.

Yet, I bet I can make this more fun. In The Devil's Playhouse, Sam and Max find a bunch of toys with mysterious powers. Think about it- toys with POWERS!
Really think about it.
Because today's Telltale Tuesday challenge is:

Give a toy a special superpower!

Whether useful, fun or just ridiculous, we wanna see what the creative minds of Telltale fans can invent when it comes to playtime activities.

Actually I take that back. But the challenge remains.

Submit your finely-crafted toy ideas on our Facebook, Twitter and in the comments here for a chance to win a free Telltale episode! We'll accept submissions until Wednesday April 7th at noon PST (that's somewhere around 7pm GMT) so you have enough time to drag out your old toys and get some inspiration.
(If nothing is coming to mind, maybe you're more cut out to create a Telltale Tuesday logo instead?)

Thank us later. Brainstorm now. Prototype models included with submissions not mandatory, but smiled upon.
