Playing Dead Episode 9 Shambles Out
Posted by Laura January 15, 2013

In the final episode of 'Playing Dead', host A.J. LoCascio talks to devs Sean Vanaman, Jake Rodkin, and Sean Ainsworth about 'No Time Left', the emotional conclusion to The Walking Dead game's first season. You'll also hear Robert Kirkman's thoughts on the series and the choices he made in the final episode, plus the one and only Dave Fennoy details the process of becoming Lee Everett and his thoughts on Lee's fate at the end of the season.

But wait, there's more! As a BONUS episode, we share a very special chat with legendary voice actor Terry McGovern, otherwise known as Larry from The Walking Dead. Terry has been a teacher and an actor in the field for over 30 years, and in this very rare sit down, he talks about what it was like becoming the oversized curmudgeon Larry for the game. Fans of Star Wars, Back to the Future and Duck Tales will want to listen in on his adventures as well. Fun fact: not only was Terry the voice of a Stormtrooper in the original Star Wars releases, he also voiced Launchpad McQuack!

And finally... we want to say a HUGE thanks for your support over the course of 2012. This was an incredible year for Telltale, due in no small part to you (yes, YOU)! We simply cannot describe how much we've appreciated your support and enthusiasm.

Get ready for an exciting 2013!

Curious What Could Be Lurking Around Every Corner in Ep 4 of The Walking Dead?
Posted by @telltalegames September 28, 2012

That walker’s getting a little too close to Clementine for comfort…  and we can all blame the writer of The Walking Dead’s Episode Four, Gary Whitta. (@garywhitta)

If you’re following us on Twitter (@telltalegames), then you too may have already begun to worry for Clem’s safety in the forthcoming episode ‘Around Every Corner’ with the release of the episode’s first official screenshot.

Remember, THE TRAILER for Episode Four lands first THIS MONDAY at 12pm PST!  Trust us, you WON'T WANT TO MISS IT!

While we don’t yet have a specific release date for the launch of the episode just yet, the episode is coming in October. Thank you for trusting that, like that walker shuffling towards Clem, ‘Around Every Corner’ is coming!

The Walking Dead: Episode Three - New Trailer and Screenshots [UPDATED: Out Now on TTG Store, Steam, Origin]
Posted by Alan August 27, 2012

UPDATE 8/29/2012: Episode Three - Long Road Ahead is now available via the TTG Store, Steam, Origin, and our other digital partners. A sincere thanks for your patience.

For everyone anxiously awaiting the release of The Walking Dead: Episode Three for PC and Mac, we will be live by 6 pm PST today through the TTG Store, Steam, Origin, and our other digital partners. We appreciate your support of The Walking Dead and we are excited for you to experience the episode.

IT'S OFFICIAL! The Walking Dead: Episode Three – Long Road Ahead will release Tuesday, August 28th on PlayStation Network in North America for $4.99 or as part of the Season Pass option for $19.99 which includes all five episodes. The episode will also be available on Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday, August 29th for 400 MS Points as DLC within the original The Walking Dead XBLA release, and also on PC/MAC as part of a Season Pass on the Telltale Games Store, as well as through our partners on Steam, Origin, Amazon PC Downloads, GameStop, and GameFly. European and international release dates for PlayStation Network are still to be confirmed. The title is in submission with our international partners at SCEE, and as soon as Telltale Games receives a release confirmation, a date will be announced.

The Walking Dead: Episode Two – Starved for Help will also be available this Wednesday, August 29th on iOS as an in-app purchase within 'Walking Dead: The Game' for $4.99 or as part of the Multi-Pack bundle that includes episodes 2-5 for 14.99, a 25% savings versus buying all the episodes individually.

The Walking Dead: Episode Three - Long Road Ahead will release imminently; keep your eyes peeled for an announcement - we're just waiting on one piece of feedback before we can let you know what's up and we truly appreciate your excitement! In the meantime, we've released a brand new trailer for Episode Three, giving you an insight into what to expect in what is probably the most emotionally harrowing episode to date.

The stakes get even higher in episode three as Lee, Clem, and the group are forced to move on from the motel. The fallout from treachery within the group will lead to some shocking moments, and - depending on the choices you make - one of the hardest things that Lee has ever had to do.

The Walking Dead: Episode Two Stats Revealed and an Episode Three Update
Posted by Alan August 10, 2012

The Walking Dead: Episode Two – Starved for Help is chock-full of tough decisions for players to make, and if you've been following us on Twitter or keeping tabs on us on our Facebook page, you've probably seen some of the statistics we've been gathering from these choices and actions. Just like we did for Episode One, we've also created a video "tribute" to the decisions players like you have made in the latest episode of The Walking Dead, all so you can see where you stand amongst the masses on some of the game's dilemmas, including many bits that aren't reported at the end of the episode! Our favorite? Guess how many punches have been thrown at Andy St. John so far… Check out the video to find out!

In addition to this video, we wanted to give everyone a very important update. In July, we let everyone know that we were hard at work on Episode Three – Long Road Ahead, and our aim has been to have it ready towards the middle of August. Some of you may have thought this meant a hard date of August 15th, but we wanted to be as clear as we could to let you know the latest news on the release date. The team has finished play-testing and tuning, and we’re nearing final submission to our partners for certification on digital platforms. As soon as we hear back from our partners on when Episode Three will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, PlayStation Network, PC, and Mac, we’re going to break that news to you right here.

We thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm as we make sure that this latest episode continues the heart-wrenching experience you’ve been enjoying with action and decisions that we hope are some of the most difficult, painful, shocking and horrifying that players will have ever seen in a video game. Until then, stay tuned for up to the minute updates on when our next episode will be available, and if you’re going to PAX Prime in Seattle at the end of this month, don’t miss our special presentation of Playing Dead LIVE!, where project leads Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin, and Gary Whitta, story consultant and writer of Episode Four: Around Every Corner discuss the series and answer questions from fans like you.

In the meantime, as the wait for Episode Three – Long Road Ahead nears its end, check out the latest stats video. Does knowing that thousands of other players made different choices get you chomping at the bit to try the episode their way? Hop back into the previous two episodes and get caught up before Episode Three hits in the coming weeks!
