Telltale celebrates Wallace & Gromit\'s 20th anniversary
Posted by David E October 28, 2009

Cracking! It's been 20 years since the release of "A Grand Day Out", the first short film featuring Wallace & Gromit, and Telltale's celebrating next week with loads of new Wallace & Gromit stuff on our site and elsewhere. First up, all four of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures will be available worldwide for Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, November 4th!

Also on the 4th, we'll start taking orders for the Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures PC Collector's DVD! For folks who already purchased the downloadable games on PC, you'll be able to get this disc for just the cost of shipping! The disc will include (along with the games) behind-the-scenes videos, image galleries, as well as Wallace & Gromit's "Cracking Contraptions" shorts and more!

Third, we're partnering with the Wallace & Gromit Children's Foundation in the UK and Child's Play Charity (from Penny Arcade) in North America to make a donation (in selected regions) for every purchase of the full Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures season made between November 4 and 8.

But that's not all! We'll have more stuff to reveal next week! Read the press release.

Beyond Time and Space coming to Xbox Live this Wednesday!
Posted by David E October 12, 2009

So, you've been waiting for forever to hear news about certain Telltale Xbox Live Arcade titles that we announced so, so long ago. We know it has indeed been many days since we've had any news about that, but today is different. Today, we have news about that, and we're really excited to tell you about it!

Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space, featuring all five episodes of Sam & Max Season Two in one big bundle, will be launching worldwide on Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, October 14. Like Sam & Max Save the World (which was released back in June), this package will cost 1600 Microsoft points, and will feature the usual Xbox perks like HD graphic support and achievements! Plus, it'll be subtitled in German, French, Italian, and Spanish.

While you're browsing the Xbox Live Marketplace, why not check out the Sam & Max Xbox Theme and Picture Pack? There will be a second Sam & Max Picture Pack released on Wednesday, too!

But that's not all. We know that you know that it's been awhile since the first episode of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures debuted on Xbox Live, but we're very happy to announce there'll be more Wallace & Gromit appearing there in November! More details will emerge as the date approaches.

Telltale Halloween contest!
Posted by David E October 7, 2009

Booga Booga! Shrunken Heads care of Aleksander VujovicIt's time for Telltale's probably-fourth-annual Halloween contest! We know our fans are super-talented as a rule, which is why we love holding this event every year. However, for one reason or another, we've managed to attract a flock of dedicated Monkey Island fans into our community during the past few months, so we're hoping for even more great stuff this time around. Let's get to the details!

How does it work?

Basically, you'll need to make or do something creative that relates to any Telltale series and send it in to contest@telltalegames.com. Your creation doesn't need to have a Halloween theme, but it couldn't hurt! As in previous years, the entries will be judged by the Telltale staff. The deadline for entries is October 27, and we'll announce the winners on October 30.

You can send in sketches, paintings, videos, songs, poems, sculptures (well, maybe pictures of those), or some other original creation that is awesome. Still not sure what to do? Take a look at some past excellence for inspiration:

Prizes! We have some!

Grand Prize Winner:
One extra special winner in this year's competition will get his or her choice of a Sony PlayStation 3 (80 GB), Microsoft Xbox 360 (Pro), or Nintendo Wii console. Whoa!

Runners-up:
A second but still substantially awesome tier of winners in this competition will get to choose from one of the following prize packs:

  • Monkey Island -- Signed Monkey Island print, full season gift card, Monkey Island button set
  • Strong Bad -- Trogdor Poster, Season DVD, SBemails greatest hits DVD
  • Wallace & Gromit -- Season DVD, A Matter of Loaf & Death DVD
  • Sam & Max -- Signed print, Season One or Two DVD, Animated Series DVD

Contest rules

  • It's been said in years past, and I'll say it again: Please don't do anything illegal or that would make baby Jesus cry.
  • Send your creations to contest@telltalegames.com with "Halloween contest" in the subject line. Your stuff needs to be in by 9pm Pacific Time on October 27, 2009.
  • You can send in as many entries as you'd like, but you can only win once.
  • Don't send attachments over 2MB. If you're making something that is too awesome to be constrained by that file size limit, host it somewhere online and send us the URL. Thanks!
There's more to this entry! Keep Reading »
