FIrst of all, I enjoy the art style, which is great for first impressions of the comic.
However, if I was to put forward any positive criticism on this comic, I would ask for it to move faster, the past few comics were pointlessly padded out. However this seems true with much of the rest of the comic, and makes it a chore to read. As far as I have seen there are no visible punchlines at all, does it provoke laughs for being "quaint"? If there is nothing quick and surprising or punchlines in a comic, it more becomes a set of doodles, and has nothing that would make me want to carry on reading it.

Not all comics need punchlines, man. This isn't Garfield or something :)

I know not all comics need punchlines, but if they don't they at least need a progressive story line. This comic however has virtually nothing to it, what story there is is padded out like the author doesnt know the direction of the story. Seriously, three comics dedicated to running? Why is that not all in one comic, there is no reason for it to be that long. It's like getting The Lord of the Rings and reading 10 words a week.

I'll say it again. If they're slow, they're food. Keep going, Dunk!

Not all comics are meant to make you laugh your ass off, so to speak. These comics are pure genius, because they portray someones everyday life, but its not like one of those lame drama comics they have in the business section of the paper. I love these comics because the art style reminds me so much of the comics the guy (his name escapes me) but he did comics for Psychonauts and Double Fine productions. And those went off on weird tangents (Not all together unlike this post. Haha.)

Yes, but they are meant to portray something, my quarms are not with it not being funny, I get that that is not it's main basis and it is just intended to be lighthearted. My problem with it is how slow it is. I can accept him being busy and so only updating once a week, but if he is doing this why is he also pointlessly padding the story out?
I have already agreed that the art is fairly good, its a very uniform and pleasing style, and very expressive. However, good art is not the prerequisite of a comic, a progressive story needs to be there. It's more like watching somebody play a MMORPG, sure it's pretty, but it aint fun to see people running 500 miles to do a quest.
"You don't have to read them if you don't want to."
And please don't use that tired argument. I am not insulting the comic in any way, I am merely presenting my views on what I think would improve the comic.

You're just not familiar with Annable's style. If these weekly strips were collected in book form-- like his comic book work-- then these 'pointless' bits of information would not be padding, but instead the major draw of his work. It's all about pacing, delivery and depth... I admit it is kind of slow for a weekly panel, but when collected it would be a quick, interesting read.
You can always look up Annable's youtube animatics to get a better idea of what I mean. This is a particularly hilarious one:
