Are those comics folowing one to another or this is just 1st page of comic that u can buy in America?
And is Steve Purcell really writing those, or it is someone else from telltale comics?

Ooh, updatealicious!
Unlike all those other whiny bitches in all the previous comments sections, I just can't bring myself to stop checking the site. Every now and then, it pays off in glorious fashion. Yet again, all my annoyance at a long wait is wiped out in a few sweet panels.
Christmas wouldn't be Christmas if it happened every day, right?
(Oh - could anyone at Telltale Webquarters add in a pre-loader for the rollover images as well? Just load them as 1px square images at the bottom out of the way, as at the moment I have to rollover all the panels before reading the comic so I can see the timing as intended. Thanks!)

hey maky (also known as aaa) - Steve Purcell is drawing this series just for Telltale's site, and we're putting them up almost immediately after he draws them. Also, they're not available in print anywhere yet, because the story is only up to page 10!

Thanks on answer Jake! I just wanted to ask does comic book "Sam and Max - Surfin' the Highway" includes all Sam & Max comics in history? If not can u write down the names of missing ones, please? And is Steve Purcell drawing just this series for Telltale's site in recent times, or there is more(web comics I mean)?
Comment by maky(aaa) lol :)
November 6, 2006, 2:40 pm
Surfin the Highway is missing a few 2 to 3 page shorts that Purcell drew for Fox Kids magazine when the cartoon show was on the air. It's also missing a couple one page stripes done at the very end of the LucasArts Adventurer magazine which LucasArts put out a couple times a year until around 1997, and a 3 page Sam & Max Halloween comic which appeared in Wizard magazine sometime in the late 90s.
As for other Sam & Max comic appearances on the web or otherwise, there was talk of a Sam & Max strip to be syndicated in newspapers, but that didn't end up happening in the end. There's also one short Sam & Max flash animation which can be found across the web (and it will soon re-appear on Telltale's site) featuring Sam & Max dissecting an alien.
So, to summarize, yeah this here webcomic about Sam & Max in England is the only actual running Sam & Max storyline in years (aside from the new games, of course :)).

Thank you very much on your answers! Just one more question :-D Do u know exact names of that shorts that Purcell drew for Fox Kids magazine, a couple one page stripes done at the very end of the LucasArts Adventurer magazine which LucasArts put out a couple times a year until around 1997, and of a 3 page Sam & Max Halloween comic which appeared in Wizard magazine sometime in the late 90s? Of course if they even had specific names. And do you know where can I buy it? Or download it if it is legal...

It's like that little bit of belly button fluff you foget about and then years later you rediscover it only to find it's even better than you remember it.
I've known about Sam and Max for over a decade, but I never got the chance to see what the hype was all about until a couple days ago (with Sam and Max Hit The Road, and Culture Shock). Anyway, I'm loving it! Rarely does a game make me burst out laughing like those did, and this comic is no different. I'm dying to use the phrase "That's my favorite kind of feasance!" in a conversation now.

I can honestly say that all the magic from hit the road is still alive and kicking. I was starting to worry that the cia had crept out from the shadows and was knocking off sam and max fans with french bread to the back of the head. glad to see some hype for sam and max again.
And like max tied to a giant drill bit, this will take off and spin out of control, bore into the center of the earth and nearly destroy man-kind as we know it. yippie!

Wow! I mean WOW!!!
I haven't seen Sam n Max since the show got axed in the 90s!
Ahh the memories of Hit the road... I used to have that in a special edition CD box with Day of the Tentacle.
Alas... all I have now is the floppy disk version now... :'<
Anyway... these comic are pure gold! And extremely well drawn!
Two thumbs up and a corn dog for telltale and steve! =D

Thanks Mr Purcell for this wonderful comic about my favorite video game heroes, Sam & Max.
I'd also thank Telltale studio: Thanks guys and girls that made our heroes living again. So much old memories from Hit The Road. I had a lot of deceptions after several studios refused to produce S&M2. You made my child dream a reality, YOU ROCK.

its strange, i've never seen max actually kill someone with blood and gore involved
Comment by plah
January 27, 2007, 6:09 am
The fact that you've never seen Killing with blood and gore from Max, is because this would seriously damage the image of sam&max. The whole point is the implied ultra violence, instead of the overly obvious in your face kind of violence we've grown so accustomed to to see in the present day computer games and comics.
Now I would really like to know when the next comic is going to be out, this looks fantastic, but it isn't much of a webcomic if it only comes out every 3 months :-/
