yeah a date would be nice :)

  • WiiWare catalog is updated at noon EST every Monday. There were a couple new items, but not Tales of MI. Alas.

  • At least SOMI will be released on wednesday. Argh...

  • I don't think TTG has much to do with it.... I think it may be all Nintendo but I also could be wrong.

  • Sure but considering we're talking about a bloody wii ware download release, I find it silly that its release is shrouded in such secrecy. I don't think it would be the end of the world or a huge deal to give us a release date, especially given wii's huge user base.

    Oh well.

  • Hi everyone. New to the forum but I've been a Telltale fan since the beginning, and I've been playing adventure games since they were just blocks of glowing text.

I've been looking all over trying to find any information on the Wiiware release date, so I'm glad to know the game's coming out soon. Still also waiting for Sam & Max season 2 on the Wii, as well...anyone got any word if that's still coming out this year?

Anyway, it's great to see the adventure game making such a big comeback! Never thought the genre had any problems with it, myself.

The "Problems" with the genre (according to some lazy sods who can't be bothered to think) was that many people were to lazy to bother clicking around without any action, they didn't like pixel hunting and could always just go to Gamefaqs, thus defeating the purpose.

I personally loved clicking on everything and hearing reactions, found that if a game had pixel hunting that it detracted joy but didn't ruin the game and thought using walkthroughs destroyed the satisfaction. The people who moaned about the genre were just lazy.

I worked though, which is why we see so few on the shelves today.

  • Is there any point me waiting for friday (when wiiware is updated in UK) for ToMI. I can be patient, but I just really want to play Monkey Island!

Hm. We've said we'll tell you the date when we have a date. That probably means it won't be coming out before we tell you we know the date. So, you're welcome! :p
