...that Rise of the pirate god was the hardest episode (along with Trial)?

  • Most likely.

RotPG must be the easiest of them all. You DO know what to do in some puzzles, and what's needed is nearly always in your inventory anyway.

  • I found it the longest (didn't time myself but I felt like it) but I wasn't stuck a single time.
To be fair, I pretty much wasn't stuck at any point in any of the episodes. But in RotPG I don't feel like I ever had to think about what to do next. It was kinda like watching a movie, in a way.

So no, I didn't find it hard at all, played it all in one go and everything. But different people solve different things, so you can't expect everybody to have trouble at the same point.

  • Probably. Other than the final confrontation with LeChuck, the episode is a cakewalk. In fact, that's a lot of my problem with the bulk of the start of it. I generally always knew exactly what to do. Many times I was required to go through some tedious gameplay and walk back and forth between locations over and over again to perform the steps I'd already figured out.

I'd say the most difficult was Leviathan.

  • I think Trial and Leviathant where the hardest

Yeah, that was annoying. It might just be me but I feel that if you spend more time getting from one place to another than actually doing things or thinking about puzzles, there is something wrong.
Of course, the fact that getting from one place to another involved Guybrush spinning around several times didn't help (twice just to get from the boat to to the Tavern Portal).

At least by that time I had realised GB could run. Chapter One was extremely frustrating because of that.

  • Yeah I expect you're alone, I found the episode really easy and was only confused by the big showdown. And that was only because I tried the correct procedure but it didn't work first time so I was trying to think of another method for ages.

  • Trial was the one that took me the longest amount of gameplay to complete, but Rise didn't. There was one part that took me a while to get around though in chapter 5, and that was the LeChuck battle. Took me a lot longer than it probably should have!

  • The whole season was fairly straightforward for me. I've been playing every MI game in the hardest setting and I dare say that Tales is easier than Escape.

The only problems I had were in the first chapter, when strapped to DeSinge's chair - I pressed every single key on my keyboard and the chair wouldn't switch horizontally - and in Trial I couldn't get to the Sixth Sense treasure because I had an buggy older version of the game, until I got a savegame from here.

  • I didn't have any problems at all with Rise, but I did have a lot of stuck moments in earlier episodes. In Execution I was only stuck on the map, and that's it, and Screaming Narwhal gave me no problems either, but in Spinner Cay and Leviathan I had a lot of moments where I just didn't know what to do.

  • Lol, I found Leviathan a walkover, just played it straight through no problems.... but got stuck a couple of times on Spinner Cay and Rise! Each to their own ;)
