Guybrush Figureprint?

Would it be possible to get a Figureprint of the Guybrush Threepwood 3D model, or possibly Le-Chuck?

My understanding is that Figureprint is just a fancy 3D plastic printer with paint, etc, and that it should be possible given the 3D model data to craft a fun platic figuring of our favorite Guybrush Threepwood.

Thoughts?

  • It's too expensive. 3D ink doesn't grow on trees.

  • That kind of printing makes me think of those cheap machines at local zoos or aquariums where you put in like a dollar or so and it crafts a specific plastic figure of your choosing from like a list of three. I still have my seahorse one from when I was 8. :|

You know, i've never heard of those before now. Wierd. The closest thing we have to those are those penny press machine things (which only became legal in 1979, due to some legislation about defacing the queens image)

  • i know about that penny that can be pressed in a machine to have something inprinted on it, but Figureprint is something new, i googled it, and it seems to only have it for world of warcraft, im guessing thats how you got the idea in the first place?

  • Those Warcraft figureprints cost around $130, it's not a very cheap process.

Since Warcraft characters are totally customisable (I think? I've never played it, thankfully :P) it's viable there, but there's only one Guybrush so there would be a much more versatile method if TTG planned on releasing something like that.

  • Jeez, $130? I don't know how the quality compares, and I know that the detail required is probably a bit higher, but the same service is available for Rock Band 2 characters for $70.

WoW players are more willing to spend money on a figurine than Rock Band players?

  • There are plenty of cheap 3d printing services. Shop around.
