Holy crap. If you haven't played this game, do it. It's the full talkie version, and it looks like it is only a 370 MB download.
Great price for a great game.
Looks like Activision (which owns Sierra and it's back catalog)has struck a deal and will be releasing more games on GOG.com. Awesome!

What is weird, is that it says it is rated T for teen, but I'm pretty sure it is a mature title, lots of blood, and some R rated swears.

  • I've got two copies of GK1 both with different ratings - the one that is part of the Gabriel Knight Mysteries set (GK 1 & 2, GK1 soundtrack disc with graphic novel of game and the prologue graphic novel for GK3) has a rating of Mature by ESRB yet the SierraOriginals version says it's suitable for ages 11+ rated by the ELSPA (European Leisure Software Publishers Association).

I personally say a rating of Teen is about right.

  • I already have two copies of it and I don't even use GOG (I can has Steam release?) but I am very tempted to get it again. I hope the other two games get released, too!

I figured it was rated M in the Mysteries collection since Beast Within was rated M.

  • I already own the cd version heh... speaking of which, I really should finished GK2... oops. I got bored of wandering about the woods trying to catch that bloody wolf.

  • Activision + GOG = HEAD EXPLODE!

  • You know, I've never been able to play this game. But I am enjoying the hell out of it.

I think the collection rating is due to the rating of GK2 overriding GK1's. Sins of the Fathers, according to the ESRB rating of my standalone copy, is rated T. The Beast Within, however, is rated M.

  • I own it already, is the problem. That, and they're selling Arcanum, which is one of The Trifecta of perfect RPGs.

  • I owned GK2 but not GK1 (although I must admit I used to have a pirated copy). Now, thanks to GOG, I only need to get me a copy of GK3, which I've never played. Hopefully it will appear on their service too.

  • GK3 had a great interface...thought my opinion seems to be in the minority. Free moving camera for an entire scene? Sounds perfect to me.
