  • Pray that a kind soul (parents, friends, relatives, your own wallet) will give you the $35+pph required to buy the season & DVD outright from Telltale. Unfortunately, you probably can't get the DVD for free like season subscribers, but it's still purchasable.

  • Well, hang in here for a bit until a Telltaler replies. They might be able to work something out.

    Telltaler...they should be called that...

  • As a freebie the bonus DVD is only available to customers who bought the episodes from Telltale. You can get it with a season purchase if you want to pay $35 for it.

  • for the next season i suggest that you buy directly from telltale (they rock)

How does telltale work? If you reformat or get a new computer will you still have your games like steam?

  • You can always re-download your games :)

Oh, come on, you cannot be serious!

I've paid $39.90 for the whole season on steam, and now you're telling me that you cannot be bothered to give away the bonus DVD to YOUR customer who bought it on steam?

Ah, well, you should have announced it with the steam release that you don't really approve of steam and want to screw all steam users over AFTER they have bought your product using steam.:mad::mad:

I do expect you guys to work something out for us steam customers. At least I won't ever buy any game from telltale, if this is how you appreciate us customers!

  • I think you're being a bit unfair about it, it's cheaper on Telltale's site anyway, and a bit of searching about before buying would probably have shown up the deal.

Nobody said Telltale disapproved of Steam, Emily just said that the deal was for people who purchased from the Telltale site, in the same way you might get a freebie if you bought a certain game from Gamestop or wherever.

EDIT: Sorry if it's not really my place to reply to things like this, but that comment just annoyed me and I had to say something.

  • We really like Steam, and we're very happy that the games are reaching an audience through Steam that they hadn't previously reached when they were only available on GameTap and our own site.

Personally I'd love to be able to give a free DVD to anyone who bought Sam & Max regardless of where you got it, but there are some business reasons that make it impractical. If you're really unhappy with this and would rather have the DVD, you could approach Steam about a refund and then get the games from us or buy the retail version. (I don't know if Steam would give you a refund; just saying it's potentially a more productive way to deal with the problem than yelling at us about how unfair it is.)

    Badwolf, thanks. :)

    Well that's certainly logical isn't it?

That's like if I said I should get the retail version for free since I already bought the games from Telltale.
