EPISODE 4 Issues

I completed episode 3, but never started episode 4. I downloaded Episode 4 and when I went to play, it looks like my previous saves are gone?? I have another slot, slot 3 where my wife is playing her game (middle of Episode 1) and it looks like that it recognizes only slot 3 saves, not mine in slot 1 (episode 3 completed)

Please tell me I don't have to do all this over???

    I apologize for the problem you are experiencing. We are aware of this issue and working on submitting a fix. Please check THIS thread for some tips and a workaround for this issue.

  • Whoever at telltale games that didnt catch this bug should be fired then tarred and feathered. I lost all my saves and have to start from episode one again. Its bs. You get paid big bucks to catch this kind of stuff, i say let a company that knows what they are doing finish making the walking dead series and get rid of telltale. In my book they fucked up hard with this one and i wont be buying a single thing from them again.

  • I don't think they should be tarred and feathered. lol. The fix should come soon though and the Customer Service should definitely be better. I have sent two emails and done one forum post and no responses yet.

    TellTale is still somewhat of an infant company and Walking Dead is clearly their most successful game to date, so Nobody should get fired either. However, they should definitely learn from these mistakes and future games (episodic or not) shouldn't be riddles with as many glitches/severe problems.

    I'm sorry, I read the fix over a few times and I am still not understanding and I am literally petrified of doing anything to make this issue permanent. As soon as I started Ep. 4 and it said "last time on the walking dead" and showed a bunch of choices I did *not* make, I immediately exited the game and got on this message board.

    Will a patch be released to fix this? I have no problem waiting for one, I just want my saved game from my slot 1 to return...and I don't want to make the problem permanent by trying to tinker with my saved games.

    FYI to Telltale - As frustrating as this is, I am choosing to literally wait for a response/patch over going back to playing RE6.. That says a lot about how much of a better survival horror game you have made. LOL

    We are definitely working on fixing this issue through a Title Update, but this is a lengthy process and we cannot estimate when it will be available. If your game loaded without the decisions you made, please exit to the menu and confirm the correct slot loaded (it will be the highlighted one). If it did not, then using the workaround will allow you to regain the use of your other save slots.

    If the highlighted save is yours, then please log out and back into your profile, and your save should be accessible again with your choices. If loading Episode 4 shows the wrong choices again, then it's possible your save file was overwritten.
