A slight improvement on the ending IMO...

I was watching a few other playthroughs, and I was surprised that if you had Clem leave Lee, she will hold his hand just before she leaves, which doesn't happen if you have her kill him. That added so much more weight to an already amazing scene, and I just found it odd why Telltale chose to only have that moment in one of the options.

I havent seen the other side of it, only her shooting you. But I would figure her shooting him is symbolic of her being tough. Her leaving him would be compassion. Either way it's a final goodbye that should help her move on. Maybe it'll come up in a later season?

  • yeah, i saw that in other playthroughs which kinda upsetted me since the choice i picked ( clem shoots lee) she just says ill miss you too and they have a last eye contact and then sadness.... but i also thought that her just walking away and keep peering back until his body slumped.. didnt really feel complete for some reason. i dont know, it felt more like a closing when you tell her to shoot you but.... her holding your hand before going is also a big heart string puller haha

Well that's the great thing about it, I spent most of the game trying to make her tough, and for the most part she is. So the shooting is great for an ending. Yet had I of made different decisions I could see the leave me one being better. I wonder if you will be able to load in your save from the first game when they make the second one, have those choices carry over. I did find some people had her in a red hoodie. Where did that come from?

Damn, I had to agree with her, but I'll do that on another play through.

Im sure it will considering on the top left corner, almost everything you told it says " Clementine will remember this" , though it can be argued when lilly shot carley it said the same thing too

  • Yes... I couldn´t evaid the cry when Lee fall down in that scene :(

  • I couldn't have Clem kill Lee. The entire game I'd been doing the "make her tougher" route except when it came to her parents, in which case I ALWAYS promised to help find them.

When it came to shooting Lee, though, I just couldn't put Clem through it. I considered everything carefully, including Lee's mobility after he turned. I figured that chained to the radiator in a relatively "sealed" shop surrounded by thousands of walkers outside would mean Zombie-Lee were no threat until eventual decay took over.

I only wish that there was the option "I love you," instead of just "I'll miss you," even and especially perhaps after Clem just seeing her parents.

Really tore at my heart strings when she grabbed Lee's hand in my play through. My family watches me play the game and my wife and daughter started crying.

    Well done Tell-Tale.

  • I had my Clem shoot Lee so she would be at peace knowing he wasn't a monster.

Same here but now I wish she held his hand.
    Awesome game but very sad.
Oh and I second having Lee tell her he loves her. I think she would have liked to hear that.
I don't think love of any kind was brought up specifically besides "he's my son" and stuff like that.
