ThreeHeadedMonkey suggests we come up with some other forums. Excellent Idea!

Any suggestions?

OK, here are some of my suggestions.

    a thread for telltale games\speculation

a help thread (you'll probably need it once you release your game)

Introduction thread, for your use and other forum members

a news thread, to let people in the forums know whats up.

random chat that has nothing to do with nothing thread.

thats all i can think of for now....

I was thinking possibly a forum for Telltale Games, a forum for general game discussion, and a forum for general discussion possibly...
    Possibly more, I'm not sure.

Why over complicate? At this stage I don't see why more then two forum sections are needed: an on topic chat and an off topic chat.

You could do away with the unnecessary help forum by creating a FAQ sticky in the on topic chat. Most of the times peoples qualms can be rectified by reading the forum faq, so why bother with a whole forum dedicated to a minority? Taken out of context, that sounds really racially insensitive, anywho…

As time develops and more member join, you can expand the forums to include a gaming section, fan art/fiction, etc, but I don't believe that it is necessary as of now.

After enduring the horror that is the speculation thread, I believe you should also write up some forum rules.

How 'bout a technical forum/subforum for all us aspiring game developers? Of course not all of us who apply for a job at Telltale Games are going to receive one, but it would be nifty to have an Industry Scoop section, where forumgoers, developers or not, can go to discuss the multiple aspects of game development and give each other advice, and possibly even make some contacts for the future.

Of course, there'd probably have to be a disclaimer explaining that if you post your story up there, it might get jacked if you don't have a copyright, and the like.

Oh, and Troy--Sorry about your toes, man. Have a cookie.

Yeah, another sole Adventure game forum would be great, and maybe a forum for any other random games new and old.

This is completly necessary. I've seen what happens to forums when there are no agreed upon rules, and it's not pretty (in fact, it's down right upleasant).[/quote]

This wouldn't happen to be MY forums, would it?
And yes, rules are a must, even if they are lenient.
