posted by MattP on - Viewed by 2K users

*UPDATE 3-15-13*

A new Title Update for The Walking Dead on Xbox 360 has been released for all regions.

This Title Update will:

• Resolve any issues that resulted from players in Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand NOT having access to previously released Title Updates

• Add language support for French, Italian, German, and Spanish subtitles (requires the Language to be changed in the Xbox System Settings menu)

If you still encounter any issues while playing the game after receiving the latest Title Updates, please remove your save data for The Walking Dead before continuing gameplay. To do this, go to your Xbox dashboard and tab to the ‘Settings’ menu on the far right, select ‘System’, and then ‘Storage’. Access ‘Games and Apps’ and find The Walking Dead.

We would like to express our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. We appreciate your patience and support while resolving this issue.

(UPDATE 3-12-13)

We have received confirmation from Microsoft that a fix has been implemented regarding the issue of customers NOT being prompted to download a Title Update (which may result in multiple playthrough issues) for nearly all regions, with the exception of Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.

We are working closely with Microsoft and currently targeting a date of Thursday, March 14th to confirm a fix for customers being affected in Brazil, Australia and New Zealand.

This issue is ONLY affecting customers who downloaded or recently purchased and played the retail disc version of The Walking Dead between the dates of Wednesday, March 6th and Tuesday, March 12th

In order for the fix to be implemented, you will need to remove all game data for The Walking Dead from your Xbox 360 console and then download each episode again. In order to do this, please navigate to your Xbox dashboard and tab to the ‘Settings’ menu on the far right, select ‘System’, and then ‘Storage’. Access ‘Games and Apps’ and find The Walking Dead. Remove all game data from this folder, and then reinstall each episode (You will NOT be charged for reinstalling each episode). The next time The Walking Dead is launched; you should be prompted to install the latest Title Update.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

(Original Message 3-11-13)

We have received reports from a number of players stating that they are experiencing issues when playing The Walking Dead on Xbox 360. We have determined that these issues are being experienced by those who played the game for the first time after 03/06/13 (both digital download and retail disc versions are affected). Those who played The Walking Dead when connected to Xbox LIVE before this date are not affected. Those who are affected are not receiving an automatic Title Update as they should when starting the game for the first time when connected to Xbox LIVE. Title Updates are necessary to ensure you have the latest version of the game, offering the best performance.

We strongly recommend that anyone who wishes to play the game without waiting for the Title Update takes steps to back-up a copy of their save file on a flash drive or Memory Unit, in case issues are encountered. Once the Title Update is available as normal, you will be prompted to install it when launching the game (when connected to Xbox LIVE).

We are working directly with Microsoft to resolve this issue as soon as possible and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. As soon as more information is available we will update this thread.
