Save Data Gone

posted by LostOmega on - last edited - Viewed by 539 users

Hello,

I started up Poker Night 2 this evening and encountered the crash at the initial loading screen. I switched the compatibility mode to Windows 98/Me and it fixed the issue, but all my data was gone. I was restarting from the beginning with all my unlocks gone (which are really cool, by the way). I switched the compatibility back to XP Service Pack 3 and encountered the crashing issue again. Any help is appreciated as I really have no clue what's happening. Thanks.

The savegame location changes when you switch to Win98/Me compatibility mode.
It is possible that something in your original savegame folder causes the crash.
Please disbable compatibility modes, and try deleting the prefs.prop from
    %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Telltale Games\Poker Night 2
If that's not enough, you might have to delete the .save file too.

  • By deleting the .save file, I assume that I'll have to start from scratch again.

Not necessarily. If the game works then, you can try copying over your save files from the compatibility mode.
    They are in
    %PUBLIC%\Documents\Telltale Games\Poker Night 2
