Get cracking Telltale!

Like every other TWAU fan I'm pretty pissed about this delay for yet another stupid zombie game - please let that asinine meme die already! - Wolf was, much like the Love Boat, exciting and new. And then you drop like a hot potato for more Walking Dead crap...AFTER you've taken our money. If you're not going to get this out in a reasonable amount of time then at least offer us refunds. I for one will never pre-pay for one your episodic games again.

A rather pissed off customer

  • I don't know how you bought the game op but personally im roling my cc charges back, people should not support mediocre companys like telltate. 3-4 months to polish a 2h game is just sad and lame. Especially when TWD was a buggy mess Delete previous data, Black screen, Random Choices, Fps Drop and so on I have to said that im glad that I bought that game on a sale and im glad that I can refund my money from this amateur "company"

  • if it wasnt for twd u woundt have twau so have respect that they want to continue it first

  • remember when episode 1 of the walking dead game cameout in april 24 2012 and then episode 2 came out july 28 2012? thats 3 months so i wouldnt be suprised if episode 2 doesnt come out late febuary 2013, hopefully it'll be worth it and i think it will.

  • Dude WTH chill. First don't hate on TWD alot of people like those games and season one put Telltale on the map for the gaming industry. TWD picked them up after the fall from Jurassic Park. I absolutely loved TWAU ep 1 but im not gonna rush TTG for ep 2 because then it wont be as good. They are trying to broaden their fanbase and keep their current fans alive at the same time. thats not easy and people like you that yell and complain only make the job harder. Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones look like they'll be awesome and they probably will and as a REAL fan i'll happily wait for each episode and not come running and complaining. Each of their games is $25 well spent.

  • it is possible that they delayed it because they didn't want episode 2 to come to close to or before TWD episode one. in any case they are clearly behind schedule with episode 2 and they should inform the people that they already excepted money form for the product why that is. if they aren't willing to do so then they shouldn't sell season passes.

all episodes are supposed to be out by September 23(first day of fall) according to steam in order for all of them to be out on time with the same amount of time between episodes the 2nd needs to be out Sunday witch clearly isn't going to happen.

  • Right now I am refusing to start playing the Walking Dead s.2 because of how long this delay has been. Frankly I don't think I will start playing that title until episode 3 of Wolf is released. I don't see any reason to set myself up for getting upset from another ambiguous Telltale release cycle.

I really think it wasn't WD that delayed them, I think it was making the TWAU iOS app. That got released at 7 weeks after episode 1 for all other platforms, right in the historical butter-zone for an episode release from Telltale. So yet another reason for me to hate Apple.

I just like how the holidays have come and gone and no word. Or were they talking about Martin Luther King day?

  • I agree with this post, since I too left a very similar post under the topic discussion: "Vote for Episode Change Rollouts!" I think it is so coincidental that Tell Tale re-posted a comment in May reexplaining the reason for the delays and why they "choose" to provide broken quarterly episodes [which is what these delays are turning into.]

I would not go so far as to NEVER buy a Tell Tale game again, but in the future I am not buying anymore of their games until they are fully COMPLETED! Let me explain... for example, what happens if this company goes under... they do not have a long history of video game creating. Do you really think they would refund any of us??? Or, what if the game stories start taking a down hill in creativity and interest. I guess I just would have to live with it then, right?

When I first started playing Tell Tale I started with the "Walking Dead" and for whatever reason I thought the PC version was not available at all for this game, so when I did find out from a friend, ALL of the episodes were available AS WELL AS 400 Days! What a difference to game play. I thought to myself, would I have been happy waiting months between all 6 episodes until its completion? The fun thing was being able to play the whole game and then go back and play it a different way.

What I think stinks the most, and I do not hear it often complained about, is how much do they expect us to remember to the story line when by the time the next episode comes out, you don't have a clue what happened in the last one or last 2 or 3, unless you replay them again. Sorry, "Tell Tale" I do not have a photo graphic memory for your lengthening delays and releasing new episodes. Do any of us?

    • I feel that I can confidently state that I'm able to remember the story of a video game I played a couple of months ago. Since... since you asked and whatnot.

I couldn't imagine living with the risk of spoilers for such amazing stories, but I think that impatient people are probably better off waiting until the game is completed before buying it. It's not like you aren't going to get it, obviously, since you're very passionate about it. But this is just the way that Telltale works. They make amazing games and their incredibly tight development cycles are obviously subject to delays for all sorts of reasons.

      • I am one of those impatient people, but because of that fact, it's impossible for me to wait until the game is completed before buying it :) If Telltales games weren't so awesome it would be easier to resist.

  • Well i love the walking dead season 1 but not season 2 because it was not complete and the first episode was not too good...the wolf among us is delayed for three months but this episode will be very good..I love the telltale games if you do not play their games ok lol

  • In all fairness, Ep 1 Season 1 of TWD was kinda slow-starting. It's just that, in hindsight, the storytelling was masterful so everyone remembers it as a whole instead of small segments. I have faith that Season 2 will be the same way. Anyways, on to the OP discussion of TWAU. I get the desire of TTG to release on as many platforms as they possibly can and as quickly as they can so that they can make as much profit as possible. That's just business(too many people consider gaming to be an art where the creator should primarily be concerned only with their project and not from any profits that might come their way through their endeavors) but after a certain point, integrity should come into play. Let the fans know about what's going on, even if on vague terms. If they keep with the media blackout though, people are going to assume the worst. Even if they come out and say that they ran into issues with porting to iOS(a platform that I have no interest in) and that put them a little behind the 8-ball, I would by far prefer that over them saying nothing at all.
