There is a known issue with the new Super Slim PS3 models (identified by a top-loading Blu-ray drive) that affects a large number of games. Sony has identified that the initial release of these models could come with a bad hard drive. If you have a Super Slim PS3, please contact Sony Support to determine if you are affected by a bad hard drive. If you are, they can assist you with replacing the drive or the console. If you have confirmed that your PS3 does not fall into this category, please try the following suggestions.

First, please make sure that you have at least 10% free space on your hard drive to allow for game caching. Also, please clean your Blu-ray player, if you have not done so before. If you have done that, then please make sure to delete all game data for the game and let it redownload any necessary patches. To do this, navigate to Game Data Utilities, select your Walking Dead game data and press Triangle, then Delete.

Also, please try to Restore the File System and Rebuild the Database. To do this, start with the system in standby mode (redlight on), and hold the power button down (the system will turn on and turn off). Now press and hold the power button again. It will beep as it turns on and then it will double beep. When you hear the double beeps immediately take your finger off the power button. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button.

If this does not resolve your issue, please test your disc on another console. If the disc works fine on another console, the issue is not the disc. If the game does not load on another console, then the disc may have suffered from a bad burn or be scratched or damaged. Please take the disc to the retailer you purchased it from and try exchanging the disc for a new copy if this is the case.
