  • Its a console that plays computer games.

  • I did a bit of research on this "Evo Phase One" system.

    Looks like one hell of a scam. For one, there's a surprisingly small amount of info on it. Most of the articles that detail it were written in 2006 at the latest.

    Also, the "console" is just a halfway decent PC shoved into a tiny case, with a modified PS2 controller.

    Here is the part that strikes me as most odd: if it really was coming out this month, the gaming sites would be all over it. Yet, the only site that seems to have this info is Wikipedia. The site that *anybody* can edit. For example, a shady business owner who is a bit too reluctant to openly advertise his "revolutionary product" that has been in the making ever since the Phantom console was suddenly canceled in '06.

    Envizions EVO Smart Console Set For FCC Testing
    Anniston, AL—(November 7, 2008)
    Envizions EVO Smart Console smart PC has been submitted for FCC approval and testing. The company is optimistic that the approval process will be done around November 20, 2008 so that the company can fill existing orders on hardware and increase the marketing and advertisement process. The EVO console consists of three components, PC, Cloud network and gaming console. The company is developing each phases of the product in stages. The system for November will be more PC and additional upgrades will happen via firmware updates.

    (I don't see how the Phantom didn't take off but the Xbox did...)
