Possible Season 2 Changes

*Many points of the game were extreamly glitchy, I can find a glitch in each one. Get rid of that.

*Get rid of the costumes. As cool as they are, they only serve the perpose of desoto parts. If I want to wear them, the only time I get to is after the game is over in which I will only be for a few minuets.

*Dedicate more staff members. Don't have people be working on seperate products such as S&M3 and W&G when your putting out a game already.

*Find the sweet spot. The reason these episodes weren't as good as they could be is because you are changing the formula as you go. Sam and Max finished it by season 2, so SBCG4AP will to, I hope.

*NEVER, EVER, USE WIIWARE AGAIN!!!! It makes it so you have very little time to work on your games as you must submit everything to Nintendo way ahead of time.

*Here is where I'm going to get the most grief: Scrap the Fun Machine/Teen Girl Squad. The small games take up a lot of space and don't realy deliver the enthusiasum that a longer more dificult main plot would.

  • They're already scrapping the TGS but do you know what Videlectrix would do to them if the took out the Funmachine? The Funmachine games tend to be the highlight of the episode and I know I wouldn't like them scrapped, but the TGS was rather lackluster and apparently TTG agrees.

I agree, plus the Wii version looks very crappy, and it's really bad. But if there is a Season 2, Wiiware... Will be back..

First of all, WiiWare is very convenient to many of us, especially those of us who are Mac owners (like me!). If they scrapped WiiWare for the possible 2nd season, they would most likely lose a LOT of customers. And may I remind you that this game was originally created primarily for WiiWare, with the PC being a Plan B for those of us who don't own a Wii.

And as far as the Teen Girl Squad goes, I don't much mind that it's been slowly eliminated from the games. I would rather that TBC used these ideas and made a REAL Teen Girl Squad for the site. So I agree with you there, Strong Max.

BUT - scrapping the Videlectrix games would be reducing a lot of TBC's involvement with this game. We've seen a great variety of new games from Videlectrix, and we are very likely to get an amazing Videlectrix game for ep. 5, possibly a sequel to Trogdor or the long-awaited 10th level of Stinkoman 20X6. Despite all this, I do have to wonder if the quality of these game would decrease as the season went on, as seen by the fill-in-the-gap-between-the-3rd-and-5th-episode-type-game in Dangeresque 3. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to get rid of the games, or to only include one in the finale.

And that's my rant. I hope you all enjoyed coming to hear me voice my opinions! I'm glad that those of you who are still here did not run screaming like the rest of my audience, and you will all receive a free t-shirt for it!

Oh. My staff says we're out of t-shirts. Well, give yourselves a pat on the back. Or buy yourself a nice dinner tonight. Or something.

EDIT - I agree with the rest of what you said, Strong Max. Alright! You got 4 for 6!

  • I disagree. If anything, the quality of the games would increase over time.

  • Maybe we would get Homsar's Quest 20X6: Let's Tire Population Egg Finder.

    Wait, what just happened?

  • You just ended up acting like Homsar, is what happened.

Actually, the Videlectrix games in SBCG4AP is one of the few areas in which the Brothers Chaps actually contribute little input! They are much more involved in the Story conception, script editing and rewrites and even puzzle design, but the games on the Fun Machine are usually entirely conceived, programmed and even illustrated by the by the director of that episode. The music, however, is always provided by Jonathan Howe!

  • I was actually wondering if Nintendo made enough on Season 1 to have them want to have another Season of SBCG4AP on WiiWare. Plus by the time S&M Season 3 and W&G grand adventure are done and season 2 of SBCG4AP come out who knows if WiiWare will still be around. In fact who knows if a Season 2 would come out. I'd think it was a given because of how awesome I've found it, but has it really been such a boon the TTG wants to dedicate more time and money into another season?

I think a lot of these changes are completely unwarrented. To make a true Homestar Runner-esque requires slight diversions Teen Girl Squad and the Funmachine bring. I agree that they don't have to be in every episode, but they shouldn't be removed altogether.

The formula should be changed every episode because: 1) it'd be boring to have the same game over and over and 2) it's what makes it a Homestar Runner game! You can't tell me that SBe-mail 1 is the same as SBe-mail 200. They have a similar idea, but the presentation of each is as different as night and day!

TTG has a great series here. They need to keep being inventive with the stories and moving this series forward. The huge amounts of bugs do need to be fixed, but other then that things are going great.

This response devastated me. I thought that the Videlectrix games were created by TBC..... They certainly had a Chapman-esque feel to them. Well, I hope that at least the Videlectrix game in ep. 5 is created by TBC.

  • So you liked them until you found out we made them?
