•
As a mater of fact, it seems that now is when PS3 is going to start to pick up, as there's not much in the future of Xbox that gets me all excited, except for Mass Effect 2.
Well, MS has been playing their cards close to the chest though... they've saved everything for E3, so it should be quite a good lineup. Forza 3 and Perfect Dark HD are pretty much confirmed, Splinter Cell Conviction will be exclusive, Mass Effect 2, Lionhead and Rare's new game, the second DLC for GTA, the new Front Mission and who knows what other surprises they'll have in store like FFXIII last year.

So yeah, between that, Trico, Ratchet and Uncharted's sequels, the myriad of third party games and Telltale's new series this E3 sounds great :P

EDIT: The XBLA limit was taken down for everyone. The Watchmen tie-in game was over a full gigabyte and there are several other examples.

PS3, on the contrary, and so far, has been lacking exclusive exciting games. I gotta say Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted were fantastic games though. Heavenly Sword was ok, but nothing to write home about --just very very pretty. There's Little Big Planet, haven't played it, but have only heard great things about it.

I said nothing exciting (with the exception of some titles on your list, which I also named).

I also said PS3 is starting to pick up now, with a promising future.

I have both systems and so far, the Xbox is better for me. I used to own a PS2 before and got the PS3 before the Xbox, since I disliked the lineup of products for the original Xbox. No need to boast a list of titles most of which I'd never buy in my face ;) Interesting titles ARE coming to the PS3, but so far, 360 got the upper hand in my book. We'll see how it develops since, like I said, right now I see the PS3 future brighter than the Xbox one.

By the way, Eternal Sonata is not a PS3 exclusive. It's more Xbox exclusive in any case, as it came out a year or year and half before on the 360 than it did on the PS3, which seems to be a trend, but there's a reason for it:

It's a lot easier to develop for the 360 than the PS3. The PS3 is a beast system that is very hard to get into and has not been around for too long. Xbox is more Microsoft friendlier of course, and therefore, easier. Most games tend to be a bit buggier on the PS3 because they were developed for Xbox and then ported to the PS3. When I was working with Activision, that's what we'd do: develop for 360, and worry about the PS3 at " some point".

In reference to this, we are coming close to the age where the original xbox was replaced, as well as the fact the 360 is a year older than the PS3.
The exciting thing about the 360 is the online experience. with dlc being far superiorly implemented on the 360, the multiplayer system being far superior. this is not a fan boy argument, i prefer the 360 yes but because of the games, controller design and additional features such as inside
Xbox.

Sorry for the double post.

• @patters said: i prefer the 360 yes but because controller design

Sorry for the double post.

...

Are youserious? The games I could belive, but I find the controller almost as uncomfortable as the Dreamcast's. PS, Dead Rising 2 the seemingly superior sequel will also come out on PS3 and I personally find Halo 3 boring. Even on online.

Beautiful katamari
Lost Planet 2
Ninja gaiden 2

The above are being ported and Lost Planet 2 is coming to PC.

I have heard thing about that and they are not pretty.

Perfect dark
Soul Calibur
The Maw
Wallace and Gromit

The Banjos, Perfect Dark and Soul Cal are Remakes, and The Maw and W&G are coming or already on PC.

A few of your game were on PC too. as for the remakes they have been done seamlessly and look at on modern tvs than the originals, plus easier to get hold of.
