  • I don't follow CSI, but I've heard good things about it. I might start watching it, if Telltale are gonna start making the games!

    Yeeesss
    , SURE you don't. [:>]

Anyway, CSI is always good for a laugh. I always thought of it as a extra light comedy. You just have to look at it all from a new angle. For example, have you ever noticed that almost all of the crimes investigated are murders, never a purse snatching or a house break in. I'm sure that's meant to be some sort of a twisted joke or something, are the script writers implying that the world is filled with crazy blood lusting murderers?

  • There was an episode where they investigated a casino break-in where Japanese artifacts on display were stolen, but it turned out to be a way of distracting them from a bigger crime of breaking into the casino vault.

I liked that one, particularly. Probably because it wasn't about murder, rape, domestic abuse, etc. Those all get old pretty quick. The ones that actually use the Las Vegas backdrop, history, and flavor as a real living set where the crime takes place-- those are the best episodes. Otherwise, it becomes like all those other tired old crime dramas.

I stopped being all that interested in the show recently, though. It seems like all the actors, including the ones from the CSI spinoffs, are trying to be just like the Grissom character: all stoic and depressing. They used to have more individual personality like Greg, until he started working in the field. Now the only one who's interesting is Brass (and the original Grissom, too, of course).

And you can never have enough "evidence processing" montages, can you? 8-|

I still watch the show, however, hoping it'll go back to the way it was, perhaps with a bit more edge, like adding some more dark humor as it's done in the past. The Ubisoft games never interested me, because they seemed so bland and lifeless, as I mentioned. I know if Telltale got their hands on the license, they'd do it right. But no biggie if the rumor is false. We still have Still Life, right?

would you watch an episode about purse snatching? ;)

the "good" parts are in cases of murders, all the fun evidence gathering, and the analysing...
CSI is great, and it could be a great game. plus its a famous brand, that a lot of people know, and it could make this company grow, which is good ofcourse.

Only if the purse snatcher murders a couple of unsuspecting by-passers.

well those CSI games are abt the only games i regularly see out of the 10 or so PC games on the shelves.. so if they did get the rights that'd be pretty good

  • I just noticed that advenure-eu was the same source for the Ankh-Telltale connection that turned out to be true. (although still no official word from the Telltale side)

dimidimidimi, if you are right about this CSI one we will have to annoint you prognosticator extrordinaire. (or at least good at noticing other peoples' predictions)

I think it's Dimitris Manos from The Inventory magazine. He gets all kinds of inside information and possible rumors before the rest of us. Stuff that would make your head explode if you knew. You feel that headache you have just hearing this rumor? Well, imagine that times hundred... thousand.
