First Telltale game

posted by Indydott on - last edited - Viewed by 212 users

Wow, so, I'm new here, just signed up recently and expected my first telltale experience to be with Jurassic Park the game. I recently pre-ordered the deluxe edition and it came with a free episode of Back to the Future the Game. So, I decided to give it a try. That first episode was pretty fun, but damn is it short. The puzzles seemed pretty simplistic too. From that experience, I would think the best thing to do is to just download the whole series instead of episode at a time. Glad I bought the deluxe edition of Jurassic Park so I won't have to wait as long for the rest of the series after the first ep., Nov. 15th. I suppose it's just as well it didn't take me long to beat Bttf part 1 during Nanowrimo. Eventually, I'll get the rest of the series, but after Jp. Nice to have a comeback for this genre since the days of lucasarts adventure gaming.

My favorite is still Sam and Max Season 2, although Strong Bad chimes in at a close second, being my first Telltale title back when I still owned a Wii.

You know, punctuation and capitalization are important to use when attempting to sound competent.

I think I've been playing too much Sanitarium. When you fixed his post by bolding all of the letters that should have been capitalized, I automatically assumed that there was some sort of hidden message in there to decipher.

I was rather disappointed when there wasn't.

  • I agree with Alcoremortis, but more because my brains interpret differently styled letters differently.

Also, pretty much a dick move to correct somebody in this thread, considering that person wasn't being a dick (yes, hidden message there, Alcoremortis ;) ).

But anyway, my first Telltale game was the very free Abe Lincoln Must Die, which was episode four of season one of Sam & Max.

The first game I actually bought though was Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People (SBCG4AP).

    Oh, and something completely unrelated:

Not really. I would say that the bigger discourtesy is ryannumber1gamer's refusal to make his posts readable for the rest of us.

My God...I see OK in there...

I'm going to spend the rest of the weekend puzzling out your cryptic clue, Chryron!

...Or at least the next thirty seconds before I see something shiny.

Don't bother, someone did it for you.

Anyway. Welcome to the forums Indydott, and welcome to the wonderful world of Telltale Games. As others have recommended, you may well enjoy Tales of Monkey Island, but I'd also suggest the Sam & Max series. They're all fun in their own different ways, and if you play through all three seasons, you can see how Telltale have evolved. Fun times!

We must move this to the Puzzle Agent forum! :D

  • Thanks for all the greetings and fun comments. I look forward to my time here and playing monkey island and sam and max. Should be exciting. Here's to hoping the best for the JP game. We definitely need an awesome JP game since the super nintendo classics.
