Jurassic Park100.exe has stopped working (Steam)

posted by Omnipo on - last edited - Viewed by 584 users

Have watched forums for a while but not seeing my problem turn up and people are playing on steam.

Whenever I click on the icon to launch the game it will load up for a brief second showing a black background and two paragraphs in white text of the trademark and copyright. Then it crashes showing a box Jurassicpark100.exe has stopped working.
Only details it gives is " A problem caused the program to stop working correctly" which is a bit vague.
Have tried opening as admin and rebooted twice, also got it to startup in windowed mode but still same issue.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

  • I have encountered the same problem with the same thing happening.
My game was also bought from Steam.

I look forward to hearing from Telltale support regarding this issue.

  • Here is my Dx Diag in case that may help you solve the problem.

  • For your information and based on what I managed to gather on the forum, I also launched the game after deleting the content of the props file in "my documents".
It caused the game to run in windowed mode then it crashed just like before.

    Hope it helps.

  • Ok this is seriously odd, maybe.
I played with combatability and set it to win98, and it loaded up, will see how well it plays but heres sorta a solution?
    Hope this works for others.

  • Just to update plays fine bar any issues everyone else gets with repeated dialouge and the such, graphics happily on max aswell as no resolution change issues, pretty happy.

  • Thanks for the tip.
I ran it into Win 98 compatibility and it worked too.
This is a very odd bug.

  • Haha it is, i gave up and just tried random stuff was so surprised, glad i helped : D

  • How did u change the compatiblity on the game itself? through steam?
